1. Take two colours, whatever. I have red and orange here.
2. Take one of the two colours and lower the opacity right down to 15.
3. Draw using this colour go over the other colour. Select that colour, then undo the scribble.
4. Using this new colour, draw over the joining point of the two colours.
5. Once again, using low opacity, draw over the other colour, but it gets tricky here, you must do this twice. First time you go over the yellow and draw the line down the yellow side of the joining line, then draw over the red, and take that colour to go over the joining line on the red side. Hope that makes sense. x.x
6. Repeat this until you're satisfied with the smoothness.
7. Take blur tool and go over, again, until you're satisfied.

There you go christiangirl, and any one else interested.
Just a cheap quicky, i'm sure you can all do better.

Finished it, didn't really intend it to be an Inuyasha fanpic but he just fit there so well! :P
Any way, hope you all like! No direct referance use, (meaning I made this image up even though referances for the bg and inu were used) XD

Rashinal (edited Oct 13, 2008)
Okay, just gotta say.. if i hadn't said it b4, Inuyasha doesnt have a face like that, plus the foot looks a bit off to me.

EDIT; But it still looks okay if you dont say it's supposed to be Inu.
davincipoppalag (Jun 7, 2018)

I see everyone has been progressing quite nicely! You guys should be proud of yourselves!

Well, as you can clearly see, this is James/Kojiro(u?) and I'm not done with him yet.

Asridaein (Aug 16, 2004)
Wow. This is amazing. I like how you have each sketch, so that it shows the progression yoy went through to get the final drawing. I think that helps the beginners like me see how many steps there are in creating a masterpiece such as your own. Thanks. Very awesome pic.
