Hah, Aubrey if you are actually scrolling with your mouse they are moving... oh and thug that racecar dream is hilarious (I have that trying to run dream but it feels like I'm in really fine sand and I'm not getting anywhere).
Childlike_Vampire (Aug 15, 2004)
WoW! This is definitely one of my favorites from you. I love the angle and the contrast especially. And the ambiguous brightness at the end. Hehe, great drawing. :D
kejoco (Aug 16, 2004)
I see exactly what you mean Aubrey, if you scroll up and down it appears as if the walls sway back and forth.
great drawing dba
Mipunai (Aug 17, 2004)

inspirational artists
mazi (Jul 1, 2004)
just out of curiosity, which artists are most influential to you? personally, Julia Lichty, mooncalfe (ross someone?) and Estrigious come to mind. and of course Salvador Dali (my god whos art is all over my walls), and H.R. Giger are really great too, though i can never hope to be as great as them. and more locally, zappo, hakkai and kasha have all inspired me tons. awesome drawi...

Poor Spongebob. Actually looks like he's about to sneeze. You know the weird face you get right before. This is great.

Hi Brainspiller
There is meaning to life....If there wasnt any, a baby or even our pets wouldnt have reason for us to look after them. Looking after other people and caring for others rather than ourselves has great meaning and purpose.
Your painting might have meant a great deal to someone (or even the little poppie flowers painting did to my grandmother)or as the Sisteen chapels(excuse spelling) painting did to many viewers. The artists had meaning to life-their meaning might have been unknown to themselves, but unkowingly had meaning to the viewers. So dont look less at your own importance than you should.

have a nice day:)

brainspiller83 (Aug 12, 2004)
i agree, there is a meaning TO life because we made it that way, we make reasons for why we do things whether or not we know what the reasons are. But that isn't what i'm saying. I'm simply saying that there isn't a meaning OF life, our purpose is just simply to live as who we are, anyways To and of is 2 completely different aspects. blah! There is no meaning behind why we're here, but there is a meaning behind why we do the things we do. well thats my philosophy, it has nothing to do with importance of people.

its a picture....another one! (i was bored) i was thinking of putting one of my cats on there too, but i thought it would look over-crowded. So i didn't draw the cat. The Original idea was to have the cat look a bit ghost like to imitate the one i lost just under 3 years ago (yes i still think about it)because some idiot ran her over with their car. i found her alive on the way to university, to cut a story short, she died hours later. anyways, yeah! this one looks less depressing! With odd looking trousers!!!

I like the white background cause it IS simple.. shows he's not thinking of anything and sees nothing around him cause he's depressed and thinking of the cat. I hate losing pets too.. weird how a person can lose a family member or friend and be fine a day later.. but lose a pet and your bedridden for days. I think it's that unconditional love and innocence they have. It's hard to find in even the best of people.

couldn't think of a good background so i did a simple wall and a simple floor, with the thingy that goes around the bottom of the wall....*thinks* skirting, thats the word, i think. Theres another wallee floory type version, 'cept the walls are a lightish yellow and the floor is a lighter blue. i guess i was kinda wrong about the background being distracting etc...*shrugs* but i prefer the original.

bumpinthenight (Aug 12, 2004)
kool stuff... I really like the hair and the hoodie... ehh..... sorry bout the cat, too... :( me likes animals.... my dog ran away from home last week end, ran across a busy intersection at rush hour, but still survived.... anyhow, I know what it feels like to mourn for your pet... (I thought he was dead until I phoned the SPCA...) :)

That's becayse it IS from a childrens book people...Lol, Man, you people need to brush up on your kindergarten literature. Very famous author, atleast here in NZ anyway. Lynley Dodd, she's written hundreds of books on the adventures of a dog named Hairy Maclary (from Donaldsons Dairy) and scarface claw is one of the characters. Very good copy, rosemary :D

Ty854 (edited Jun 21, 2004)
I was looking a DinoFlorist Ruler drawing and we were talking a little bit about how people found this site, Dino said he found it at inklink. I found out about it through www.youdraw.com. I was just wondering where everybody found out about this site. So please lets have a discussion.

I started this because I'm always impressed by drawings of things that are clear, and bubbles are pretty, but I don't think it's my thing
