First time user trying out the tools, I'm still not sure about laying and masks... hope to learn as I go. I love art, it's my obsession, and hope to do more and more. And better pieeces as well.

thank you derrick, trying, but I'm having a hard time understanding layering. I'm used to basic paint programs, still, I understand a little more than when I first joined two years ago... and ola to you, hope to do more.

Layers are a little confusing at first, but trust me, you'll get used to them soon. :)

looks like blown glass or pulled taffey, I think it's a beautiful picture frootcake.

One of the first things an artist learns how to render to understand dimension shadows and highlights. Spot on frootcake.

Wouldn't the disks edge have a slight hint of hightlight (reflective light?) Sorry quibbling. Ignore the silly lady.

Love the colors you used, wicked cool pic.

If you need a backgroud maybe find a picture of an old building and sketch that in. This reminds me in a way of Oliver, probably more because of the costumes and that boy....
