My daughter (5 yrs old) wanted to do the letter C, on fire. Those of you who dont know what this is... it's the extreme alphabet. My 5 year old daughter does them with me, she picks the colors. She is learning the alphabet, while learning computer graphics!! She has already told me, she wants to do a "frozen" letter "D". :-) I might just let her do the next one by herself, and help her with picking the right tools!!

Often when I think my mind drifts off to other places and seems to go far away. Like almost to another galaxy. I like to think of this as just another one of those places I go when I think about things.

To my beloved J.R.

...where ever he is...
:(

took way too long cuz I was WAY too indecisive over silly areas. Over all, the feel of it came off the way I wanted.

Ugh...Been listening to Evanescence "My Immortal" over and over to keep in the mode...I think my ears are gonna bleed.

wow!!! I love this!! Look like angels!
fleeting_memory (edited Mar 1, 2004)
Ah no! what happened? You blurred it all? you lost so much character with the line art...I loved how the faces described their longing for each other and how you could see his hand reach out with the fingers...it still looks good but I liked it much better the first way-though I admit I like the hair without the outline
morbidboblover (Mar 2, 2004)
Wow....that is amazing! I love the colors and the detail!

Tripping the light fantastic...
--------------------------------
The first edit went over the 800kb limit on the advanced board, so it is therefore ending up on the elite bastard board because I really don't have a choice. At least it seems submittable, although notably still abstract and un-interesting for the most part.

Perhaps its a piece of paper.. Or the reddish-colored surface of Mars? A dessert, and paper grocery bag..? I have a bunch of ideas but I doubt you'd be interested in those.
Gigandas (Feb 11, 2004)
Actually, it sorta looks like a sunset going over the ocean reflecting the orange and red rays on it.If you could maybe draw seagulls and some boats, I think it'd work out just fine.
davincipoppalag (Feb 13, 2004)
lighten up parts of it..and it could be a close up of someones skin...put in a mosquito "having lunch"? lol
Soshell (Feb 24, 2004)
oh wow people are so creative and nice! thats what i like about the oekaki/art in general community. except sometimes you get ignorant jerks and thats never cool...oh grace, i think you should put some wood grain in there...for some fine detail...detail is time consuming and maybe you might end up pulling your hair out...stressing and all....but! its way worth it in the end :)

fleeting_memory (Mar 1, 2004)
interesting-nice use of bold color-but he seems a little flat-or dimensionless(if that's a word) Nice fire in the eyes but somehow this picture disturbs me a bit ^^;;;

Soshell (Feb 10, 2004)
i love this too. the detail in the wings is awesome.. and the straw...i dont get it really...is this surrealism? reminds me of it:) and yes dragonflies do rule!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 10, 2004)
Wow, I love everything about this one. If it were huge on canvas I'd buy it. Love the straw, the dragonfly, the colors, everything. You are so creative.
davincipoppalag (Feb 24, 2004)
How did I miss seeing this one! Excellent detail on the wings and everything.. very original!

Uh...who's mad? I'm not mad... I 'did' laugh at your comment about the five heads...! Hilarious...
Childlike_Vampire (Feb 12, 2004)
lol Well, I suppose mad wasn't the right word. No worries, lol. And this is still a great pic. They look so soft!
laurael (Feb 13, 2004)
No worries here either. Love your pics btw...wonderful talent.
Alicia (Feb 17, 2004)
This is so neat. the creatures look more like baby chip munks.I see some as I walk to work , they like to hang around some thickets on the side of the railroad .One day, I looked under a bush after hearing leaves russle. This time a rat was looking up at me. I didn't think it was cute!

A quick picture to state that I am here, and to test out this so-called wonderful drawing program. I think I'll stick with Paint BBS. I draw on oekakis. I usually draw 50 times better than this. But this place looks pretty awesome, aside form the fact that none of the pictures I've seen so far has gotten over 3 comments.

i always use oekaki-shi because its just plain easier...i dont care about the unlimited layers cuz ..i mean layers are good to have and all but ...i've never used more than four heh. i dont get lascaux at all, but if some people can use it without getting confused then more power to them :) i like this pic its very good for a first
marcello (Feb 6, 2004)
remind me to make a survey as to how people like lascaux... I mean, I and many others find it way easier to use than shipainter advanced...
dixielandcutie (Feb 6, 2004)
honestly lascaux is my favorite...the others are much harder to control in my opinion
Neko (Feb 9, 2004)
Welcome! It's a very nice pic, but maybe it lacks detail? Then again, it's only a quick drawing, ne.
