first xiau takes my matzo balls, then shoebox does something with a trout and sardines and I don't know, it was just weird, and now this. I'm a healthy young man, that's all you people need to know.

She was always too innocent XD

A great background would be the inside of a palace.... or not. Ah, don't listen to me shoe, not enough sleep X).The pose is great. Love how you shade.
Shoebox (Apr 21, 2006)
Ooh, that sounds great... I hadn't considered a palace, hehe. Non-sleep is wonderful for creative-ness. Thank you very much :) Yarr it sucks. And yes, I am adding the lineart too thebackground after I shade it. Backwards ftw! .. actually, backwards ftw is wtf.
Sweetcell (Apr 21, 2006)
Backward talk yet... sorry personal joke. Looking good Shoe. |

Went through a few different idea for this picture, which is why the timer is long. This was inspired by the view of the sunset outside our window after a gloomy, rainy day.
Sweetcell (Apr 17, 2006)
I like it, it's pretty. It has a watercolor wash to it. Just maybe add some foreground trees and it'll be perfect. |

I had fun with the baby.. so I thought I'd try again, only a little older. It sucks because I fail withoutt refs XDAbout the timer; I lost net last night and I was tired, so I left this open while I slept XD
LisaAnne (Apr 16, 2006)
This piece kind of intrigues me. Its different, has very strong points, and some that are not as strong, but I'm impressed. Nice practice...the bone structure under the skin, is gorgeous. |

Yeah, I woke up this morning, looked at my previous piccy, said 'What the heck were you thinking?' deleted it, and moved on. |

Yeah. Compression hates me lately. But whatever.I guess I'd better do less gradient-ing. Anyhow, Corinne is just my silkroad character. Just a little newbie. Hehe... |

Animation might be fun. But more likely a waste of your time.Narsty compression.
woah_pockster (Apr 7, 2006)
ooo I like this better :D it's different from your usual and the texture is fantasticc<3333
Shoebox (Apr 7, 2006)
Heh, thanks Pockster. That's kind of you to say *nods*I needed lineart practice, but I just don't feel like colouring in thick black lines anymore...
mewulu (Apr 7, 2006)
I like the colours and texture =] Great work!
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Apr 7, 2006)
I thoroughly enjoyed the animation. I like what you were doing before (although I am not much of an artist I totally understand if it was frustrating) so now I like the new version of this...Is it just before sunrise? and For some reason I feel like saying "Remember it is always darkest, just before they turn on da lights" I don't know why, but I like what you have created |

Thanks guys.I really need to work on drawing without the lines, so, yeah. Really nice of all of you, I appreciate it :)
DoOp (Apr 4, 2006)
awwwww that's pretty ^_^ great job on it =3 i like the tree mostest =D
SanzoGirl (Apr 4, 2006)
Wow! O_OOkay, this is on the wrong board. This is Intermidiate/Advanced quality.
Shoebox (Apr 4, 2006)
Yeah, that tree is the first that actually looks like a tree and not a blob of green on a lump of brownAnd thank you too Sanzo. Usually though I don't use the intermediate board unless I use the extra space. Which may never happen since the beginner board got more pixels to play with. |

On a side note Winnie was an actual bear owned by a Canadian soldier who came from my home city of Winnipeg and was named after the city. Winnipeg, Winnie. When the soldier went to war he couldn't keep the bear so he gave it to an English zoo where the bear became a celebrity and the author of Poo found his inspiration and the rest is history. Yaaaa for Winnie (peg)
I love Winnie the Pooh. :3
