try using brushes with harded edges so you can get clean lines and so there isn't so much blurring. Some areas are fine to have blurred a bit, but it's nice when there's some harder lines too to bring things into focus

I know, I know, the eyes look weird. I'm still working on them a little, but I'm trying to make them look scary, like she's possessed or something

I think a good way to get that effect would be to make the eyes (much) smaller than this and have them rolled back a little with no pupil. Even in most anime styles it's rare to see eyes large enough to go from nearly the hairline down to almost at the chin, so making them about half the height they're at now (leave the top where it is, just raise where the bottom of the eyes are about halfway) should help.

In reply to redpanda - Thank you for the advice, I wasn't originally going for the whole possessed look, but as the drawing went on, that's the direction it ended up going in. I'll try to go back and work on that more in the next revision. |

when drawing dragons wings I've found that photos of bat wings are good sources. It's important to actually look at the photo and examine it though, because it's not until then that a lot of people suddenly realize what one actually looks like rather than just what they thought one looked like. I hadn't realized until I did that they're basically an arm with four long fingers plus a small thumb (that's what the hook part really is) and skin between, complete with an elbow and everything. Try that and see how it works for you.still unfinished -_-

So, who would be interested in a 2draw-con? It'd probably be here in New Mexico, maybe sometime in the Spring. If there is interest of course. Probably raffles, contests, and just general hanging out. Probably plenty of cool free and secret shit that you'd have to come to get. Who knows. 2draw merch maybe? Just throwing the idea out there, post your thoughts. p.s. probably the biggest issue is location and "getting there." feel free to post your thoughts on that, as well. p.p.s. ...
