I don't consider this a hobby site, this is an art site seperate from the many out there. There are plenty of places to just scribble. This place has a higher standard of art than other oekaki's. Well it used too. Hobbists are flooding the joint.Dan does anything good.

he knows he's he's a good artist, but an artist with a Narssicistic Personality Disorder. As far as his "personal life to deal with" he doesn't need to explode his own lifes frustrations out on people here... who he doesn't even know. He wants to fuck other peoples' drawings up with idiotic, and immature comments.....so be it... he should be able to take what he dishes out. This is a hobbyist site.... noone on here profits from anything posted. end of story

Again, foxman, this isn't a hobbyist site. You just have to look through the galleries to see that this place brings out the better artists. It's when it's constant chicken scratch doodles that take the level of this place down. It's always been an isuse with me and why I don't like coming here these days. If people want to scribble, there are tons of sites they can go to. I come here to see art. Nuff said.

I was just checking out some of the tools. I like the gradient tool. Very cool. I won't be drawing again until I get a new computer. That'll be a couple months unfortunately. I'll be sure to check out all the new stuff from ya'll though. TaTa till next time.

Ahh sorry! Forgot to add the description!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Autumn_Festival This is a depiction of the Mid-Autumn Festival/Moon Festival/Mooncake Festival/Lantern Festival that is practiced by many East Asians. People celebrate it to worship the moon and show reverence to dieties like Chang'e (whom I've drawn). Farmers also celebrate the end of the summer haversting season with this occasion. I based the picture off of a few lines in the version 4 of the stories of the Mid-Autumn Festival, found on wikipedia: "Although Houyi wanted to shoot her in order to prevent her from floating further, he could not bear to aim the arrow at her. Chang'e kept on floating until she landed on the moon.While she became lonely on the moon without her husband, she did have company. A jade rabbit, who manufactured elixirs, also lived on the moon." And I also based it off of the wikipedia images depicting the characters of Chang'e and the Jade Rabbit.
