A clematis, lovely...wait Meno said that, its very lovely *grins* one of my favorites but unfortunately I can't grow them here *sniffles*.
jpjp1052 (Mar 15, 2008)
I see you're finally getting some time to draw. Very nice picture.
QTgillie (Mar 15, 2008)
Fuzzy, I can grow them, why cant you? They do quite well here as a matter of fact. Just need to put them on the correct side of the house. The one I had in Willmar faced West and it thrived. Good old miricle Grow is my green thumb!

Sorry gel.....this is very lovely. So glad you have found somr drawing time....good for the soul.
STARZSHINE (Mar 19, 2008)
ooooo one of my fav flower vines, I have several, love them, mine bloom all summer, I have the deep violets and one that is similar to your pic, I would love to get some white ones and I saw a few scarlet ones I would love to have. I just need a taller trellis for mine, I have had them for about 5 years now and they are huge they have outgrown their trellises. :( this year, maybe they will get a new one! very nice work!

Nice gown, the bg is a distraction, I think a softer bg of pale colors would look better to show off the gown.
I want her handbag. May I have it?
QTgillie (Mar 16, 2008)
this is nicely done. I like the bg as it emits a sense of the magic that is being transposed on Cinder. Bravo!
STARZSHINE (Mar 20, 2008)
this is adorable glo! she is so pretty, reminds me of cinderella a bit. I like the background, but if you don't mind a suggestion...what would really set it off would be to take the background colors in the lights and have them highlighting on the gown and the lady, just a hint here and there to equalize the foreground with the background. very well done!

It's not terribly great, but I like it so far ^__^ Don't judge Smith's face just yet, I don't like it either!

Thanks so much Sweetcell ^__^ I'm really speechless, there's just so much talent around here!

By the way, am I allowed to tweak it a little as time goes on? There's a couple places I still don't like and would like to maybe continue working on.
davincipoppalag (Mar 17, 2008)
Congrats on the win
enjoydotcom (Mar 17, 2008)
GJ on the win Marfin, I think you are allowed to tweak it as much as you like. It's your own drawing and you have plenty of space left to do so.
Hmm, very certain you are allowed, but I could also see why it might not be 'allowed'.
Sweetcell (Mar 18, 2008)
Well, as for that if you tweak this picture now people won't see what the final product was that won it.
What I suggest (and you don't have to do this) is draw it again and work longer on that one. Though this is fine as is.

Incredible work! It's so shiny too. I'm jealous 'cause I still can't do metallic objects. Way to go!

A long haired dachshund I think....he is a winner. Very well behaved I see also. Is he yours? Oh, duh....read the comments first, dum me........I see it is and is not yours. Still adorable and well drawn. He seems pretty confidant!
lori (Mar 14, 2008)
this is a great drawing, well done
my son keeps asking for this kind of dog, they really are cuties
KuteDymples (Mar 15, 2008)
That's Georgie my sisters dog! OMG! I am going to have to show her this picture Kathy. Those dogs are very obiedient and loving and I would recommend to anyone wanting one to get one. Georgie is about 5-6 yrs old now and is an incredible dog. Kathy it looks like you was at my sisters house and took a picture of him. Oh I love this!
STARZSHINE (Mar 19, 2008)
adorable doggie! so cute, love the long hairs much better than the short hair dachshund. Beautiful work Kathy.

I did use a reference, a glass of white wine I did on another site and I had to keep filling that glass to get the lighting right *hickup*. I also took some pics of the glass before I started drinking from it, neither pic looks like any of the photos but at least I got somewhat of what I was going for, I need to work on making it shine though without making it look drawn, mainly I was trying to draw glass, I've seen others do it with such ease and few strokes *pouts* but I haven't caught onto it yet. Thank you for all your kind words everyone!
gerbear (Mar 14, 2008)
Hello Fuzzy darling!! Great draw and interesting how the different drawing programs change the end result of the pictures. Glass trick is...
Need a very bright hard edged shadow somewhere to show the highly reflective quality. Same for metal, the cleaner the hightlighted edges the shinier the object.
You are doing great with the transparency part of it, this glass looks very solid yet clear. You have great control with this program!
gel_o (Mar 15, 2008)
Wow, this is great Fuzzy! Just perfect......keep going and don't worry about that timer as we all think it is broken :>)
STARZSHINE (Mar 19, 2008)
Nice work fuzzy, very soft with a misty look, reminds me of an acyrilic painting, lovely. Oh got anymore wine? I could use a good couple of glasses full! oh ya, right about now, even though it is noon, I need to tie one on and let the hair down! lol, been one of those weeks...great now you've turned me into a boozer, see what your art did! lol, jk,, again nice work.
