This is just the background. i'll be adding 2 charactors in the middle layer and in the forground comic (speech ballons).Also i''ll sharpen them lines on the right side and better shape the ones on the left ect.... trust me this'll be great. |

Here's an idea that is very different but seems like a lot of fun. Week 5: Draw your own original 'Far Side' comic. Anyone who can remember 'The Far Side' by Gary Larsen is probably of the opinion that it is among the best comic strips of all time. In my own personal opinion, it definitley is, hands down. The challenge here is to make a comic pane with caption (usually a single pane, but that is not required) to make a hilarious comic. Do not steal the jokes off of other comic ...

Word taken directly from the Pixies - "Caribou." I guess this is Pixies fanart, but not really. I didn't know it was going to take this long :D Almost done, still need to add a few things. I like this because each letter has its own identity, but they form a cohesive whole. Well, I guess they turned out a little more similar than I had thought them to be. That was the intention anyway, though :) I don't know if all this extra stuff is such a good idea.

well..i had no idea what to draw,,,wasnt really gonna do anything for contest but..i felt like drawing something silly :)the trumpet nosed brollyboogle..disguises itself from other creatures (and plants) by trying to look like a flowering plant...its feet are light and large..cup shaped so to avoid triggering any mines.. the "brolly" on its head helps keep the animal dry..also helps against falling coconuts...it mostly eats plants (tho it will be quite happy to eat anything else it comes across too)

We've all done it before, admit it. While the teacher's explaining what's going to be on tomorrow's test, we sit and doodle. How hard can a 7th grade test be, anyways? (Now it takes pure SKILL to suck like this!) Okay, people, post up some of your doodles if you want (they don't have to be drawn in school... Just... Well... Doodles. And only doodles. None of those I-spent-hours-on-this sort of pictures.)

some ideas for how I want my back tattooed one day... just messing around feel free to move it to a different board just realized this is posted on advanced - i thought I clicked intermediate.. oops. Anyways I figured I probably should put a bit of effort in. I'd appreciate any tips on how to make the tattoos look like part of the skin. I think they're a little better but still not right.

you should see the tattoos Davey Havok has. He's got a set of wings covering his entire back.just touching up the edges and adding a little more shading

When using text I think it's important to experiment with font types and get one that actually looks good.edit: It's kinda annoying to have to scroll through those lyrics too. Maybe you could just pick a favourite verse or something, I doubt many people will bother reading them all.
