Tuukke (Apr 3, 2004)
good picture! i would also say that this is almost intermediate level :) great eyes and colours. great, i'll look some more of your pictures
Pandora (Apr 4, 2004)
Maybe once we get to know the tools, we can collaborate and do a pic together..Not sure how that works but sounds like fun. Davinc. told me to try and use the Opacity..spelling? and the flow it helps with the blending. I could be using that a little to much. lol The hair is always so interesting in your draws.
scarfeh (Apr 4, 2004)
She looks more like a...Shitika.I think this should be on the intermediate boards. |

My reference comes from the 30th Psalm. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning"! It's a little darker than I intended...
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 2, 2004)
This is just beautiful... so simple, yet so complicated at the same time with the sentiment behind it. I love the colors you used, too.

DinoFlorist (Mar 6, 2004)
nice shell and the background is awesome sand. I love water stuff. You should do another cool shell and then put a turtle inside of it.
Look (Mar 8, 2004)
Nice texture on the shell!!! It's almost transparent. I love how you drew to sea too! It's beautiful!
Pandora (Apr 2, 2004)
Anything with the sea in it I love. This shell makes me want to pick it up. Beautiful |

Laura, 'Amazing' job. Your drawings have been getting so much better (it's like you progress with every picture). Great job, sweetie. ^_^

Can someone tell me, how can I correct smudges after the color is applied and to get that same color again is difficult. My other question is how do you apply reflections. Such as making glass. Any suggestions. Thanks everyone.
davincipoppalag (Mar 31, 2004)
If you want an exact color match..just put your pointer on the color you want and right click.. it picks it right up. Reflections are harder. A light color with very low opacity in a small spot..with part of the low opacity area brightened up some with the dodge and burn tools. I frankly forget which is the dodge and which is the burn... but basically one of them makes things in the gray range lighter and the other makes it darker.. send a memo to someone who has done really good ones and ask them how they did it I am sure they will tell you. Hope this helps some..
Pandora (Mar 31, 2004)
davincipoppalag..thank you for answering and explaining everything to me. It sounds so easy just to click on the color and pick up the same one..I have to admit I was struggling. Looking forward to the day of understanding all the tools. Sorry to be a pest. Much thanks again,Alway's looking for suggestions how to improve.

Wanting deeper shadows, not sure how to use all the tools yet.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 29, 2004)
This is good, maybe varying the tones/color values between shades by using the opacity (it's a slider tool at the bottom right of the applet) higher numbers are darker, lower are lighter, and then blending. This is a cute cow, I have one named Patty Cow. :)
Pandora (Mar 29, 2004)
Thanks DBA..I'll try that. How cool, that you have a cow. Where I live we only have lizards.:) I took a look at your gallery and the Texas Blue Bonnets picture is magnificent.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 29, 2004)
We have lotsa cows. Usually I name them stuff like T-Bone, Sirloin, (lol). Lizards? Do you live in the desert? Thank you, too. :)
davincipoppalag (Mar 29, 2004)
....and DBA only lets the special ones into the house... lol the dodge and burn work for making areas lighter and darker too..nice cowface |

marcello (Mar 26, 2004)
davinci: try adjust it at all? if not on the monitor itself, in control panel> display > settings > advanced > color blah... (last bit depends on the graphics card).
Pandora (Mar 26, 2004)
This is wild and mysterious. Really Great DMV..So glad I can use COLOR now.
