'Her name was Lola,she was a dancer.'My gym teacher always plays this song when we're in gym.I decided to draw my version of Lola.How does she look so far?Edit:I guess she's fine.But my ma' thought the song went 'Her name was Lola,she was a showgirl.'Maybe she's right...maybe it's both.I might draw something for the song...er...what's it called?'Blue' by LeAnn Rimes(and I probably spelt her name wrong).Then I'll hook up a printer and print it,then annoy my friend with it.She hates the song.Just kidding.But she does.I gues it's the yodel. |

Mom's kids aren't getting out of school right now? Mom isn't running back and forth to softball/soccer/hockey/band practice, listening to why can't I get my hardship license so you don't have to do this anymore because I have to spend the nite at Jessica's house so we can finish our project that is due tomorrow because we have to work on it together or we'll fail can we have pizza pleeeeeeease? Oh my god...*cries* I live in the San Fran. bay area CA, right by the delta actually, so i'm used to seeing modern boats whenever i go downtown, but I dont much like them, modern boats that is. But ships, real ships, the old ones, like what you drew, they bring tears to my eyes. When I was in fifth grade we had an over night field trip to a docked schooner called the CA Thayer, we got to pretend that we were back in the 1600's working on a ship(but without all the bad parts). It was amasing, and I was only on the Galley crew. ^^ I've always wanted to do something like that again, but I settle with just being able to go down to the delta for a day every couple of weeks. But now I'm moving to the Dallas Texas region, and I'm going to be completely land locked. I get really sad when i think about it too much.. Oh, geez, I'm sorry, I totally rambled on there. It is a WONDERFUL piece. I love it. Mind if I set it as part of a computer desktop image?

nice work! I agree with the above comments- sometimes the blend option helps, othertimes it can look to fuzzy...I think this reminds me slightly of botticellis venus rising from the waves...

thanks cm, like the name implies, i've come a long way, from where this drawing thing started almost 2 years ago now. and it is partly because of the help i have recieved from gifted artist's like both of you and others...can't thank everyone enough....

I'm not sure how he has this thing set up, but I've lost my connection completely a couple of times right after it began to submit.. came back and there my drawing was. Other places you lose it, you lose it. This is nice. For me to blend is absolutely necessary, but then to go back and paint another layer to add definition is also necessary to keep it from being smudgey or blurry. Great proportions and movement in this one.

I would like to see you expand with a little more definiton in the back ground..Wonder what it would be like if you showed her shadow? Just curious. Very pretty and again the hair I want. |

Whew....now I can actually go through your stuff I missed up until now.And dang, this is freakin' awesome^^;....looks like one of those collectibles my grandma has in her house.I'm really liking the bow and its sharpness(being defined well).The wall (I think...) in the bg has very nice lighting as well.Like FM said, I think this is one of your best ones if not #1^^.
