It was a hundred and seven
We were heading to town
She had her sleeves rolled up
And the windows rolled down
That girl is a cowboy

Robert Earl was singing out
The "Buckin' Song"
With every word that Keen was bringing
She was singing along
That girl is a cowboy

Sometimes the best cowboys
Ain't cowboys at all
She's got my back
Even when it's against the wall
When I need a friend
She's the guy I call
'Cause sometimes the best cowboys
Ain't cowboys at all

Beautiful picture, seems like both the horse and lady are reflecting. Mane tail and hair is nicely rendered, and all the weeds and grass. Yahoo DBA, good one.
tandrew971 (Jun 18, 2006)
good song and beautiful picture. :)
Miss_DJ (Jun 18, 2006)
This is really nice Cindy. It's got such a nice feel to it. Real peaceful. I love that you can sense that she's wondering if that's a storm approachin'...the wind is great and the way you convey her weight in the saddle. I like it, can you tell? :o) Donna...(living the countdown!)..lol

ya, i guess the stone color is a little off, oh well
Deino (Jun 17, 2006)
Beautifuly drawn, the stones look great!
Miss_DJ (Jun 18, 2006)
this is really great. I like the castle and the water is just perfect with it.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 18, 2006)
I don't think it's off, it depends on where the stone comes from, really. I have seen structures built from stones almost this exact color. I think I have a photo (of a castle, to be exact) that my mother in law gave me from one of her trips to Belgium where the stones are very close to this color. Maybe a little more red in them, but not much.

Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy spent.

Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son,
Senior citizens wish they were young.

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colors from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right.
And which is an illusion?

I like seeing it under the art and being able to read it there.
LisaAnne (May 9, 2006)
Love the charcoal feel.
Sweetcell (May 9, 2006)
That prologue of the song was always my favorite. This has an ink and watercolor feel to me.

Looks like the Val Kilmer rendition of Doc...great oldworld looking picture
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jun 16, 2006)
"I'm your huckleberry". :) Looks exactly like him.
Sweetcell (Jun 17, 2006)
When was Batman Doc Holiday? Just askin....

Has a bit of a Zora feel to it the way his hats tilted.
Miss_DJ (Jun 19, 2006)

Axil62 (Jun 18, 2006)
I see, so I guess that makes this 18+ too, huh?
davincipoppalag (Jun 18, 2006)
Not advanced? I disagree Dave..If this isn't advanced, I don't know what would be.
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Jun 18, 2006)
kejoco you are right...it depends on the woman. Not all women have beach ball breasts that are perky and round like porn stars (AKA Silicon Breasts)

And holy shit this is awesome!

The early fish gets the dangling worm, and the patient fisherman gets his supper.

And I so agree with you on modern art Hunter. Seems more production these days in the high end galleies than actual focus and meaning.
Miss_DJ (edited Jun 15, 2006)
it's so nice of all of you to stop by and comment. I appreciate all your input. As for wondering what the green blob is, it's a fish of sorts, nearing the surface of the water about ready to nab his lunch. Thank you for your compliments hunterkiller and poppa and you too, sweetcell, and I'm happy you find it interesting, artguy79! I love to just create and not concern myself about making things perfect. It's just the way I wanted it. thanks. ((hugs)) Donna

ps as an aside...I know it takes MEGA talent to create realism and copy exactly what a photo might look like...and I bow low to those who know how to do that, but I had an art teacher say "why create something that already exists, make something of your own." That's what I like to do.
Pantera (Jun 15, 2006)
I am with you Miss DJ :)

Well, everybody needs a wedding feast after.

And if you get married today you get a coupon for Al's large deep fries.

Vegas even has a drive-up penis enlargement place.. Can you imagine the attendant? "Yes..would you like to supersize that?"
