This is my very favorite psalm......so I thought it would fit in with this pic. I like it better than the psalm that the ref pic had written. Anyways......I'm not finished with this draw.....I'm having problems getting the tools to work right. I don't know what is wrong....but the colors are not working like they should.....the colors look faded out to me....I don't know how to fix it, but I'm trying to draw anyway. Well....I took Elly's advice and used the dodge tool to lighten it just a little....and I like how it looks, so I'm posting this as "finished". Thank you all very much for your comments....I appreciate it.....:)

Thank you "all" very much for all of your nice comments....I really do appreciate it......I'm glad you all like the scripture and the pic......the 23rd psalm has always been my favorite psalm. I'm gonna try to work on it some more.....I'm havin' problems with the tools.....things just aren't working the way they should. Elly.....I'll try using the dodge tool to brighten it up a bit.....but the ref pic is pretty dark......but I'll try it and see if it looks better....thanks. I did try the dodge tool, and it does look better I think....it brightens it up just enough to make it look better......I'm satisfied with it now, so I'm finally finished with this draw.....:)

MUCH better! even tho it was just a very small brightening, it gave it just the right amount of 'pow'!! Glad it worked out!! And don't feel you have to follow your ref pic's to the 'T'....I never do! That's the artistic part of being an artist! LOL!

I like the purple between her hair and forehead. The green on the face looks a bit misplaced.

Just practicing with a tablet I bought today, I thought I'd try a little shading and it's always fun to have a moon and some interesting branches in a picture :D This is nothing of value but hey... i enjoyed it.

Edit: Not sure if i will be sticking with the circle art nouveau. Any suggestions? Might go and move it also. Not sure if i like where it is positioned right now. The dark circle also has to go, but I have to skidaddle for now...

I cant get the arch as precise as I want it, so this is as far as this goes. I honestly think that is was nicer before the arch.

Regardless, I have enjoyed how the portrait has gone. Might do something similar again soon.
