Thank you everybody! This was done by playing around with the settings. I even worked on it in greyscale for a bit. I saw what looked like a pinkish dress and finished it from there. I wish I could do things like this on canvas. Maybe blindfolded?
Suntan (Mar 1, 2010)
Why do you wish you could with your talent?
jekyll (Mar 1, 2010)
I guess what I should have said, Suntan, is that I wish I had the inclination to do such work on canvas. It's one thing to push pixels around to form a drawing like this, but I'm afraid in a paint medium I'd overwork it and think too much about it. ( I'd never know if I was finished or not) I'm not sure I understand this kind of art. I enjoy it when it's done by others but I just don't feel any attachment to my own.
Suntan (Mar 1, 2010)
Get blindfolded then and just go with it. If nothing else, it would be fun. ;p

Flubbles (Feb 28, 2010)
Thank's, i've got few little details to add and change but it's 99% done.
TumblingUpwards (Feb 28, 2010)
The light in the upper left corner is gorgeous, this has turned out beautifully.
vlad.the.hamster (Mar 1, 2010)

Teapot: he's a type of puffer fish, from what I can remember when I took this shot :) and thank you

Suntan (Mar 1, 2010)
looks good, the gray bar gives it more of an abstract feeling. I like it. :)
vlad.the.hamster (Mar 1, 2010)
Ooh, nice! lovely colors. :) I think the other background could've worked, but this is nice, too.
elly (Mar 1, 2010)
I like both vrs 3 & 5. They both have a very unique look about them. But, I'm partial to vrs 3 personally =)

Ew. Maybe it'll look good as a profile picture on here, but other than that, wow, I don't like it. I wanted to try out a different applet for once.

chibi is fun to play with
Miss_DJ (Mar 1, 2010)
I like it
elly (Mar 1, 2010)
Chibi ROCKS! I like the silhouette design but the background could use a little blending maybe. Did you use multi layers? The colors are great!
vlad.the.hamster (Mar 1, 2010)
Chibi is fun but I don't like actually using it for anything serious... idk, just me. :P

As long as there was no piss or mustard on it, I'd hang this on my wall. I like Toggenburgs and Nubians mostly. I just bought the best jar of mustard ever. It's President's Choice le Choix de Président dijon (we have to say everything twice here--once in English and once in Quebecois--which you'll already know if you watched any of the Vancouver Olympics) It's as hot as wasabi. But you can only get it at The Super Store out west or Loblaw's down east.
backmagicwoman (Feb 28, 2010)
I love that Inglehoffer Sweet Hot mustard..that stuff is soo good...but it will definitely scorch your sinuses if you get to much at one time...my husband took me to this place one time on our way back from Key west..it was in Jensen Beach called Mrs. Peters smoked fish..and they had the best honey wasabi mustard dip I have ever eaten..I keep telling him we need to go back there because their fish is really good too.
Suntan (edited Feb 28, 2010)
I just go for plain ol' Colman's. Nice goat..they would make beautiful kids. ;p love the title.

I dont mind the dodge and burn in this pic, i think she used them well without over doing it.
elly (Feb 26, 2010)
I tend to use dodge and burn in about every draw I do somewhere or another...can we say obsession?? lol! I do overuse them and I'm trying to tone it down a bit...I'm only in my 2nd step of the 12 step program for dodge and burn addicts =) LOL! Thx for the comments =)
Zero_Lemons (Feb 26, 2010)
I just want to hold it in my hands, it's so cute! I really love the details of the feathers. I think your use of dodge and burn is effective for this as a whole :)
madscientist (Feb 27, 2010)

it prolly a bit presumptuous of me to try to make a tutorial, but what the hell, you learn by trying :P

mursku (Feb 27, 2010)
thanks guys :D ..but the second tutorial it will be better than this, first i just gotta figure out if the techniques will work in chibi painter and is there any workarounds.. oh yeah, and i gotta plan it out beforehand. in this piece i was just winging it ;)
