uh...... yea, more practice with the new tablet and I can't quite figure out the whole shading thing on the computer. It's soooo much easier to shade with pencils, paint, pastels and what-not.

Awesome pic!! He reminds me somewhat of that old man that went by the name of "Ayatollah".....I think he was from Afghanistan, or some weird country like that.....anyways....awesome draw!! :)

Thank you everyone. =) I fixed the eyes, and I still don't really like how it turned out, but everyone seems to get who it is, so it can't be too terrible. I was going to delete it, but I'll just leave it as is.

I love watching these fish at the aquarium in Baltimore!!! Elly, you really did a wonderful job at capturing the silver in this fish, beautiful coloring throughout. Love it!!

Another awesome draw......I like the effect that you can get using the scatter tool.....I did a draw here with the scatter tool a long time ago....it's called "sacred Indian burial grounds".....it's in my gallery....it's fun playing with the scattering tool.....I think I might try it again sometime. I also remember "nikki" from YouDraw.....she's an awesome artist....I always admired her artwork there. :)

"The 23rd Psalm".....

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want......He maketh me to lie down in green pastures....He leadeth me beside still waters....He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His namesake.......Yea...though I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death...I will fear no evil....for Thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me....Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.....Thou anointest my head with oil.....my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.....and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.......Amen". This is my very favorite psalm......so I thought it would fit in with this pic. I like it better than the psalm that the ref pic had written. Anyways......I'm not finished with this draw.....I'm having problems getting the tools to work right. I don't know what is wrong....but the colors are not working like they should.....the colors look faded out to me....I don't know how to fix it, but I'm trying to draw anyway. Well....I took Elly's advice and used the dodge tool to lighten it just a little....and I like how it looks, so I'm posting this as "finished". Thank you all very much for your comments....I appreciate it.....:)

Thank you "all" very much for all of your nice comments....I really do appreciate it......I'm glad you all like the scripture and the pic......the 23rd psalm has always been my favorite psalm. I'm gonna try to work on it some more.....I'm havin' problems with the tools.....things just aren't working the way they should. Elly.....I'll try using the dodge tool to brighten it up a bit.....but the ref pic is pretty dark......but I'll try it and see if it looks better....thanks. I did try the dodge tool, and it does look better I think....it brightens it up just enough to make it look better......I'm satisfied with it now, so I'm finally finished with this draw.....:)

MUCH better! even tho it was just a very small brightening, it gave it just the right amount of 'pow'!! Glad it worked out!! And don't feel you have to follow your ref pic's to the 'T'....I never do! That's the artistic part of being an artist! LOL!
