Public Boards/Beginner
Merulotte (Sep 10, 2003)
I had some free time, although it is now 2:30 AM here, I still had spare time. Anyhow, she is the one who invented Cyren, as well as MANY other useful inventions on the planet of Cerulia. She's also a friend of almost all the other characters. Now, I thought I'd draw it here in Beginner, as I didn't want to repetitively post in the Intermediate. ^_^
Comments are welcome!

You made up this story/these characters?

P.S. She's got uber weird hair.
Merulotte (Sep 11, 2003)
Uh huh. I did.
P.S. She likes to have unique hairstyles.
marcello (Sep 11, 2003)
can't be a great inventor if she's so concerned about appearance ;)
Harmanye (Sep 11, 2003)
Perhaps she invented a way to make them grow like that? o_O Well, just a thought ^^;

Anyway, loving the shiny shading and the background, and teh hair is cool anyway ^_^ Very nice indeed *Smile*

Oh, yay! I've actually finished it. Phew. Take about 15 minutes from the timer... Anyhow, my new humanoid robot, Cyren, and he's just standing there in his creator (Scarlett)'s lab!
An inaccurate picture of Scarlett is hung up on the wall above the shelf. Anyway, I had a LOT of fun drawing this. Well, mostly.
Comments are very much welcome! But I'm just glad that I got to draw Cyren a mere 2 days after thinking him up. Wheee....

Really nice colored lines. I like the overal feel. Much better BG than the one at the beach too, lol.
Marienkind (Sep 10, 2003)
shiny and pretty, if a bit stiff. that crotch... shield thing though... it's unnerving, especially since the legs are thin and wide spread.
who's the girl in the portrait at the back?
Merulotte (edited Sep 11, 2003)
The girl? She's the inventor of this robot here. I drew her a few minutes ago, on the beginners, as well.

Yay! I managed to finish it before I go to bed, as I have my first day of School tomorrow.
Here he is again, and he has new, shiny armor, and a powerful, shiny healing spell. My affinity for things that shine shall never die. Sigh.
Comments and Criticism are welcome, of course. There is always room to improve, especially in my case. ._.

I forgot some of the markings for his face. Two are still 'missing,' but they were at too awkward an angle to add in, anyhow...
KNPMASTER (Sep 3, 2003)
Very nice shading, so smooth, so soft...
Eliafin (Sep 3, 2003)
I envy your ability to do such spiffy coloring O.O *stares* very nice...

Ah, well, that was fun, too.
I always did like drawing crystals, but I haven't drawn whole pictures of any on a computer art program, so here, I did.
It seems to retain a faded look. I kind of like that...

Muah. The Sock Fiend was once a very loved, purehearted piece of footwear, straight out of the department store, when one day, it was left behind in a dryer at the Laundromat. The sock went through every single Spin-Cycle, Power-Dry and Quick-Fluff in that dryer from that day on. It became tattered, torn, and mangled. One day, a mage had found this sock, and pitied it. He brought it to his home, upon where he enchanted the sock, thinking it would repair itself. But no, it stayed as ragged as it was since it left the dryer. Instead, it became enveloped by it's own grief and vengeance. It wanted to get revenge for all those years that it was tossed.
It eventually escaped, and began creeping into people's houses, where-upon it was sometimes put on by a hurrying resident. It drained the wearer's life energy through their feet, and caused them to shrivel up and die. It continued this for years, until it became strong enough to drain the living's energy without having to latch onto their soles. It is said that it has killed many, many people, and that the only way it can be stunned is to have a Dr. Scholls Jelly Sole tossed at it. But, even then, it won't stay put for long. It seeks it's victims, even to this day... Booooo....

Er, anyhow... I thought this theme was a good idea, so I thought I'd make some kind of monstrous ghoul. ^_^ Hope you like it.

Ah, that was fun. I've been more willing to draw lately. But never mind that.
I decided to draw him in non-sickeningly-or-chibi mode. I think it's okay...
|EDIT|
Fixed the title. It did look a bit long, to me...

I was getting tired of my Marshmallow Bunny 'icon' (which wasn't much of a icon, if you ask me) so I drew my mascot; a frog! I hope this one is more suitable.
|EDIT| I forgot the other "t" in "Little."

Aww, it's adorable. Great shading.
shockedfrog (Sep 1, 2003)
i always wanted a froggy mascot guy, realised i wasn't any good at drawing, and decided to go for official shockedfrog trademark stickmen as mascots instead :) I really like the extra details you added in the background too.
CrystalineWings (Dec 29, 2003)
Eeee! It's so adorable. Makes you want to carry it around on your shoulder. XD I love it. ^_^

Ah, I thought I'd try and draw the pencil that I used to go through all of my Final Examinations last year in school. And then I drank my strong Ice Java in Milk... So I got... you choose, creative, or insane.
Anyhow... Comment if you would like.

^_^ If anyone can name what this is (I know it's a whale, silly. It has a name...) then they will *probably* get a cookie. It depends on if I have one with me or not.
Anyhow, it's my favorite of a number of things. It's also around Fourty Feet long, but it weighs less than 4 Grown Men. Oh well. At least it looks like it's supposed to... (It's not meant to look like a *regular* whale...)

Hey! That cookie is made out of metal! oh well. *gives it to Bolt Crank*
quintessence (Aug 30, 2003)
I was gonna guess Leviathan. Whoops. Pretty, glowy shading.
raenboe (Aug 30, 2003)
He's cute...I guess. I dunno. He's cute to me, for some reason. I just have this incredible urge to hug him....Anyway, love the shading, vewy shiney! *glomps*
Hotaru-chan (Aug 31, 2003)

Well, I was kind of considering a Dog anthro, and an artistic Doberman seemed alright. So I drew what came to mind... I guess it turned out okay, but the head shape could most certainly be better... Now, as for a name... Hmm. I'll think of one. *begins scribbling*
Comments and/or criticism are most definately welcome...

Well, I think mommy would be mad at me if I dyed the dogs hair green... We don't even have a dog, so she'd be really mad if I stole is for the sole purpose of dying it green...

Anyway, I think the main problem with the head is the snout... which is taking up most of the head anyway, the nose is pointing at a weird angle and the whole snout itself should be moved a little to the dogs' left, and possibly re-angled.

On the general body, I know it's an anthro, but Dobermans (Dobermen?) are usually sleek, this guy 'ere is like a Doberman on steroids or something.

I like the glasses though, that's a graet touch, an I'm also rather liking the shading on this, and the background :)
Merulotte (Aug 29, 2003)
Oh, alright. I should have done a bit of research, then... Now I feel all stupid. Thanks. :D
But seriously, thank you for the information... I'll put it to use if I actually USE this character, as I was thinking of a Ferret to be a better one...
I think I should stick to reptiles and the like. o_o
concannon (Aug 29, 2003)
I think this is pretty neat, actually. I dig the green hair, I really do. The glasses, too.

By the way, Merulotte, I sent you a memo with two links to doberman anthro pics from VCL. I hope they help. ^^
raenboe (Aug 30, 2003)
I like the eyes and his glasses! I totally dig that background! It goes great with the picture and you made it look like real paint splotches!
