Doggonecutsy (Jan 1, 2010)
I drew myself inside my own living fire being tortured in my heart chamber by masses of red faceless people representing the bullies of my past that leech black poison and smoke into my body's veins. I am a prisoner of myself, chained to my heart as a reflection of my past cries and breaks into pieces, cracking under severe pressure.

Expressive work...you should use this for a large canvas piece. :)

Oh, this seemed angelic indeed, until I spotted some unsatisfied, inquiring look in his eye. It destroys the angelic image. very interesting.
Also, I think I liked his chin on 2nd version better.
LifeGotColour (Jan 2, 2010)
amazing composition!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 4, 2010)
This is captivating... the facial expression is amazing, and the execution of light and shadow here is more than masterfully done. If this were actually an oil painting I would hang it on my wall in a heartbeat... I haven't liked anything this much in a long time.
Roytje (Feb 10, 2010)
That's a sweet compliment. Thanks a lot.

This is an awesome draw!! I think he looks so much like the kid who played "Alfalfa" in "The Little Rascals" movies. All that is missing is the cute "cowlick" sticking up on his head. Great draw!! :)
haloe12 (Jan 1, 2010)
He's got some big eyes. o:

The_Chosen (Jan 2, 2010)

Sorry for putting this pic in the advance board....but I couldn't "squeeze" this draw on a smaller board. This draw isn't quite finished yet.....I might change this horse into a "unicorn"......I'm gonna experiment with it , to see if I like this horse better as a horse, or as a unicorn...."lol"! :) I'm posting this as finished.....I'm not gonna try to change the horse into a unicorn....:)

backmagicwoman (edited Jan 24, 2010)
I like it ..it looks nice..but as before..I think you rely too much on the texture tool..maybe you should experiment with making your own textures.
firecracker (Jan 24, 2010)
Hi "bmw"......thanks for commenting.....I'm glad you like the pic, and I do agree with you about my using the texture tool. I know I rely on it a lot......but I didn't use it very much in this draw.....I used the "scattering tool"....not the texture tool, to make those little spots on the horse....to make him look "dappled". I used the texture tool a little bit on the "trim" of the woman's dress, and a little bit on the rope that she is holding. I don't think I used texture anywhere else. I guess I don't really try to make my own textures because the texture tool is there for that purpose. That's why I don't understand why I get lots of "flack" about using this tool, when it's there for you to use...."lol"! What is the purpose of the texture tool if you're not supposed to use it??? Chibi paint doesn't have near as many texture tools like Oekaki Shi painter has. I used to have fun playing with all the different textures that Shi painter has. Anyways.....thanks "bmw" for commenting.....I do appreciate your comments and opinions and any criticism....whether it be good or bad...."lol"! I have so much to learn yet.....I don't know if I'll ever be able to feel like an artist.....I'm still just a "novice". I just deleted the last couple of draws that I was working on, and I'm about ready to delete another draw that I've been messing around with for the last few days.....I just can't get them to turn out the way I want them to.....so I don't want to "post" them. Thanks again!! :)
Flubbles (Jan 24, 2010)
I cant bring myself to delete a draw, i post pictures i dislike all the time.I just dont see the point in spending all that time on something and having nothing to show for it at the end.
firecracker (Jan 24, 2010)
Ya flubadub.....but most of the pics that you "post" are worth posting......if I had your talent and knowledge of art....I wouldn't delete any draws either. These last three draws of mine that I was working on are really not worth posting. Two of them I already deleted, and this third one I was trying to do a draw using a "ref" pic by an artist named "Mullan".....and I can't get this pic to look right.....I'm just so frustrated with working on it, and if I did post it.....you would probably say it "sucks"! "lol" :)
