Sorry for putting this pic in the advance board....but I couldn't "squeeze" this draw on a smaller board. This draw isn't quite finished yet.....I might change this horse into a "unicorn"......I'm gonna experiment with it , to see if I like this horse better as a horse, or as a unicorn...."lol"! :) I'm posting this as finished.....I'm not gonna try to change the horse into a unicorn....:)

Either way it's still beautiful! I LOVE the monochromatic green bkgrd! It really sets off the reds on that lovely lady! Nice work!
davincipoppalag (Dec 31, 2009)

firecracker (Dec 31, 2009)
Hi "Elly and "Davinci"! Thank you both very much for your nice comments.....I really do appreciate it! "HAPPY NEW YEAR" to you guys too!! ( I never thought about unicorns being a horny horse....."lol".....that's cute DaVinci)....:)
lori (Jan 1, 2010)
nice job on this fc... the horse is so pretty, I would leave it as a horse
Suntan (Jan 1, 2010)
Yes, I like the horse, he looks dappled.
firecracker (Jan 1, 2010)
Hi "Lori" and "Suntan".......thank you both for your nice comments.....I'm glad you like the pic. I think I'll take your advice and leave the horse as is.....if I try changing him into a unicorn, I might mess the picture up.....so I'm just gonna post this as finished, and leave it as is. Thanks again for commenting....I really appreciate it! "Suntan".....I was able to make the horse look "dappled" by using the scattering tool. :)
LifeGotColour (Jan 2, 2010)
a drawing full of fantasy...very beautiful indeed... and Happy New Year, firecracker!
firecracker (Jan 2, 2010)
Thanks "Life" for your nice comment.....I really do appreciate it. I like doing fantasy draws......they're fun to do. "Happy New Year" to you too! :)
cpomaybo (Jan 24, 2010)
love the detail work on the dress and metal, love the atmosphere, great work!
TumblingUpwards (Jan 24, 2010)
This is beautiful, the horse is amazing and so is the detail on her dress.
firecracker (Jan 24, 2010)
Thanks "tumblingupwards" and "cpomaybo" for your nice comments.....I really appreciate it.....I'm glad you like the pic. Also.....thanks "axil" and "flubadub" for the unicorn videos......but I didn't change my horse into a unicorn because I was afraid I would "mess up" the pic......but I'm glad you guys took the time to look at my pic.....I hope you liked it. I think I did a pretty decent job on this draw.....I hope you think so too. :)
backmagicwoman (edited Jan 24, 2010)
I like it ..it looks nice..but as before..I think you rely too much on the texture tool..maybe you should experiment with making your own textures.
firecracker (Jan 24, 2010)
Hi "bmw"......thanks for commenting.....I'm glad you like the pic, and I do agree with you about my using the texture tool. I know I rely on it a lot......but I didn't use it very much in this draw.....I used the "scattering tool"....not the texture tool, to make those little spots on the horse....to make him look "dappled". I used the texture tool a little bit on the "trim" of the woman's dress, and a little bit on the rope that she is holding. I don't think I used texture anywhere else. I guess I don't really try to make my own textures because the texture tool is there for that purpose. That's why I don't understand why I get lots of "flack" about using this tool, when it's there for you to use...."lol"! What is the purpose of the texture tool if you're not supposed to use it??? Chibi paint doesn't have near as many texture tools like Oekaki Shi painter has. I used to have fun playing with all the different textures that Shi painter has. Anyways.....thanks "bmw" for commenting.....I do appreciate your comments and opinions and any criticism....whether it be good or bad...."lol"! I have so much to learn yet.....I don't know if I'll ever be able to feel like an artist.....I'm still just a "novice". I just deleted the last couple of draws that I was working on, and I'm about ready to delete another draw that I've been messing around with for the last few days.....I just can't get them to turn out the way I want them to.....so I don't want to "post" them. Thanks again!! :)
Flubbles (Jan 24, 2010)
I cant bring myself to delete a draw, i post pictures i dislike all the time.I just dont see the point in spending all that time on something and having nothing to show for it at the end.
firecracker (Jan 24, 2010)
Ya flubadub.....but most of the pics that you "post" are worth posting......if I had your talent and knowledge of art....I wouldn't delete any draws either. These last three draws of mine that I was working on are really not worth posting. Two of them I already deleted, and this third one I was trying to do a draw using a "ref" pic by an artist named "Mullan".....and I can't get this pic to look right.....I'm just so frustrated with working on it, and if I did post it.....you would probably say it "sucks"! "lol" :)
