LOL "FEED ME SEYMORE!"
Yeah I thought of that too as I got towards the end...then my hubby told me it looked like that one pokemon that ate james when he made it come out...so I punched him.
This thing soooo eats horses...frogs are merely a snack!
Sweetcell (Sep 18, 2006)
Get into the song "She's a maneater." replacing It with She.

Please take my man but leave my horse alone. Colors are shweet.
davincipoppalag (Sep 18, 2006)

That's just..... brrrr. Still, maybe now parents will believe kids when they say somethings under their bed.

I love how you used the dodge in this. Eye glowey goodness.
pandabarrie (Sep 18, 2006)
no, the head is just not parallel to the wall, so it looks shrunken...i might go back and adjust something, now that i look at it
Lishan (Sep 19, 2006)
Really cool. O_o I never was the kind of kid that was afraid of monsters under the bed, but if I had seen this pic, I might have been. XD The shadows on the sides make the pic seem very real, and make you see "outside the edge" of the picture (so you know that you see it from the eyes of a person who's standing in the door, but maybe you could have added the persons shadiw as well? It looks alright like this anyway) wich is a kind of thing I could never come up with myself. The teeth are very well-done as well, they actally look real. And of course, the glow in the eye gives the picture a even more frightful atmosphere.
Overall, you did a really great job with this one. I wonder what happens if I show it to my lil bro.... >D
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (edited Sep 19, 2006)
This is awesome...it reminds me of like fantays Godfather, when the guy wakes up and there is a bloody horsehead in his bed...but in the head the kid in the bed is the horse head I like how you framed the monster with the shadow of the doorway...and HOLY CRAP it looks tons better when I moved my screen so I could see what's in the bg...awesome attention to detail too

KuteDymples (Sep 18, 2006)
I really like it, the wood on the birdhouse looks so real and the birds feathers are awesome.
Sweetcell (Sep 18, 2006)

Very pretty, I love the muted pastel colors.
Sweetcell (Sep 18, 2006)
Oh, that's pretty. So like a beautiful watercolor, hard to do in lascaux. Thank you so much for this Elly. What would you like me to draw. (don't say water I've tried a droplet 3 times and it keeps coming out muddy) but anything else I'll try. *smoochies*
elly (Sep 19, 2006)
Thank you Sweetcell! I'm so glad you like it! I won't say water, but promise me you'll try again in the future =) How about a landscape as well? Maybe something you'd see on the other side of this path???? (If that's not what you want to do, you choose something =) *smoochies back*!
Pseudonymous (Sep 24, 2006)
I wanted to comment on this for SO long and I waited for wayyyy too long to do so. I apologize. Tonight I was trying to find it to finally comment on it and I had trouble locating it. Which doesn't make sense to me since this is really beautiful and I would totally put it up in a frame in my house. And now I'm just blabbing. Because it's almost four am and I haven't slept yet. So I apologize yet again for my complete incoherence and I'll probably come and delete this post tomorrow because I sound like a blithering idiot.

But regardless. I love this painting.

Tubular :) Everything 80's is coming back. Just a grat piece, your getting the feel of water Elly. You need to do a full landscape.

Like how you mapped out the wave and the curve the little man is taking.
KuteDymples (Sep 17, 2006)
In my other life I was a beach bum......that was me surfing that giant wave! Very cool picture. Extremely well done!

I wish I were a little girl, in this lie
No one could resist my little girl smile
I wish I were a baby, in this love
I'd be cradled in your arms day and night

I wish I were an old man, a scholar
With the wisdom of a 1,000 men before me
wish I were a funny dream that haunted
The people I love every time they were down

wow very nice , love the lighting , the effect of the stained glass on the girl and teddy is very effective
Miss_DJ (Sep 15, 2006)
Cindy, this is beautiful! You convey her emotion so well through the colors and tone. and I love the light!
KuteDymples (Sep 15, 2006)
I love this...it is so different than anything else here. i actually like the 4th version better i believe except for the highlight under the window, that looks good in the 5th version. I have been looking at this picture for the last 10 minutes. Absolutely breathtaking.
TammyF (Oct 11, 2006)
Your picture reflects the words brilliantly, and beautifully!!! I felt sweeping emotions, stimulated by the unison of the two becoming one, while I read and studied!!! Fantastic Work!!!

Just had to try it. The glass part was the hardest. I know they are not perfect, but the best I could do at this time of night. My Reference Picture: http://www.designer-fashion-trends.com/img/sunglasses/chanel-sunglasses-1.jpg

Thanks for all of the great comments! I just thought of something funny, should have put these on the Alien Frill.
~NC~WildGunzTomcat~NC~ (Sep 21, 2006)
Wow that's pretty good. Very nice. (This is Brian btw lol)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Sep 21, 2006)
Unmistakably Chanel, yeah. I always liked the "signature" because it looks like two intertwined horseshoes. (I'm sure that's probably not what was intended)... I think cheap sunglasses make a much classier statement when you can wear them and "pull it off".... but that's the rebel in me. :) I would love to have these.

I think you did a wonderful job on the translucence of the lenses.
