this a WIP for a friend that will become a part of the cover for his next album his band is coming out with, it's inspired by someone else but he liked the contradictory idea and image of a famous political figure doing an uncharacteristic thing. i'm sure there are some relevancies or deeper meanings can be found, but whatever, assuming you can figure out who this man is. the older members of this board should be able to get it (also assuming i drew this well enough for him to be recognizable)

as always, criticism, input, even some new ideas are welcome before i finish this up

Hmm... I like my butterfly. (i copied the idea from everdream -- hope you dont mind). I was tryin out all the little selections at the bottom... I learnt a lot. Im excited to try an put this together properly some time. In the meantime, I like this. =) Not all that pretty, but interesting to me. And thats what matters, right?

What's up with all this cryptic, positive propaganda? Everyone drops the ball at some point, it's just a matter of time. Let these kids find out the fun way.

Sue loses her virginity and gets chlamydia.
Johnny Football uses steroids and loses his scholarship.
Betty drives home from the prom with a bottle of vodka in her gut and runs over an old lady.
Joey takes some bad LSD and ends up killing his roommate.
Sarah takes too many valium and decides to swallow it down with a bottle of wine, she never wakes up.
Mark takes too much XTC and ends up dropping out of high school, he goes on to pursue the "rave arts".

...Until they are taken away. Spending 2 & 1/2 days in jail made me realize how much we take for granted with the freedom we have.

I still come to look at this one. I really like it. Not only because it is very well-drawn and there is so much to look at... but because there's a real story behind it. This is one of my favorites.
