Pretty good for first time! I could offer a bit of constructive criticism, although I'm really not that good myself. The ear on the left looks a little big, and perhaps add a background?

o___O You make me sad as an artist. That was a massive blow to my self confinence. I love the detail. It looks like a photo of a flamingo behind the black filter.

hehe, sorry to disappoint, but it's a girl :PEh, I was just feeling a lil bit down 'cause I know I didn't do as well on my organic chem final as I hoping...and yesterday mornin', I burned my toast and my finger on the stupid toaster-oven (not bad though, only annoying...just stung for a while) and theennn a power outage caused me to lose 5+ hrs of art (why didn't I save it?!? ugh ugh)
