Kind of fun to mek small stuffins. I was going to do strictly pixel by pixel but I only seem to have patience for that in MS Paint...so I cheated a bit. Timer is not exactly off, but I have been doing other things at the same time. *multitasks* rawr. |

its just like the classic game on the NES system. NOT ATARI nintendo company produced and licenced galaga, not atari...i dont see why so many people think that!
Harmanye (Nov 8, 2003)
NES. My grandma has that system.Never played Galaga, is it fun? I like Duck Hunt, you know; with the gun. At first glance this doesn't look like an Atari game at all, if your drawing is true to the game. Atari has more blob-like shapes in very bright colours. I think I like the little border around the picture. It kinda -adds- something, but maybe it's just me that thinks that. Cool ships, nice star field, is that a blue-winged bumble-bee?
Doodlibop (Nov 12, 2003)
ha! very well done!

Jesus Freak, if you haven't noticed, most of the Bible (mainly the Old Testament) is nothing but parables...the story of Adam and Eve is about children growing up, being disobedient, losing their innocence, and having sex (eating the FRUIT!). Anyway, I am a 'Chiristian' but being a Christian doesn't mean taking the Bible literally. It was written by HUMANS so that means they probably portrayed the things they were told to write (by God) in a false light...because mankind isn't 'perfect'. THE END

This "God" thing is great.. Yesterday.. I had a flat tired.. And I prayed to God that I would have a spare in the back of my car... and lo-and-behold! There it was right in the back where I had put it 12 weeks ago! w00tJF89 You have every right to bash homos.. Unfortunately It wont do a bit of good. But I would like to remind you that it also says in the bible to love your fellow man, no matter there sins, and let God judge them.. so getting in to a yelling contest with peoples morals, or outlooks are just going to make u look very prudish.. Lol.. There’s a girl I talk to sometimes, shes cute as she can be, but every time I crack a crude joke, or say a swear word, she starts quoting verses from the bible, and she’s a pretty lonely girl :/ OH Awsome pic BTW! the attempt is very anime stile..
Neko (Dec 11, 2003)
Cute. Wish I had the guts to draw like this. You're doing very good work and there's not much you need practise in. If you see any flaw in your works, just remember to hone your skills by drawing even more. At least the rest of us get something to see.

Aii! Where did those squares come from in my bg? :(
Harmanye (Nov 8, 2003)
On any other picture I'd say the squares were the JPEGs fault, but since this is a PNG (Says the image details) I don't know. *Shrugs*Looks nice, the pink hair is cute, the face is a little weird ('cuz the head is big), but it's prolly just the style. Love the skirt, but she looks kind cold. Happy, but cold. |

(Nov 8, 2003)
This is just someone my friend asked me to draw. I can't really remember what her name is, but she's the last of her kind, and has been alive for more than 500 years.
Harmanye (Nov 8, 2003)
Goodness, she looks sad, what happen to ther rest of her kind? OD on Anti-depressants?Oh, whatever. The shoulders are kinda sloppy, as is the colouring, there seems to be very litle shading on this, and shading is very important. Okay, besides that, it looks fine. She's a little bright considering it's night-time, though. Something a little haunting about the eyes O_O |

heea... Now lets see someone do pixel-by-pixel work with A tablet (and.or Oekaki shi-painter), and THEN lets see if they still hate mice (And.or lascaux sketch)...
HJ (Nov 8, 2003)
that is cool. ish so renasaincie
Harmanye (Nov 8, 2003)
Marcello: Yeah, it kinda -feels- mouse-centric.HJ: I believe its spelt renaissance. But t'is a silly word. Thank'ee for the comment. It seems there isn't much pixelworking around here, some, not much. Mostly on icons, obviously... I'll be quiet now.
raenboe (Nov 9, 2003)
I like your pixel-by-pixel work! I don't know how to do pixel-by-pixel art, but I think it's very detailed and I like the style. I kinda wish more people had detail in their pics like this (not necessarily pixel-by-pixel). A few people on this site do have great detail in their pics, though. Hmm. Great job!
Harmanye (Nov 9, 2003)
I have a headstart on pixelation actually, I'm what is known as a 'Doller', and I always pixel shaded. Except instead of just shading stuff, when I make this sort of thing I draw everything. But too much detail makes a picture look 'Busy' of course, so one must be careful about that too. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it ^_^ |

Hey how do you like it?
Knockoff (Nov 8, 2003)
Nice! This has to be your best yet,.! Your improving! Try some different shading, get the lines a little neater and youll be pretty good.,
Harmanye (Nov 8, 2003)
*claps* Yay! It's a head with a body, no sarcasm, this is nice ^_^. The blonde doesn't even bother me (In my opinion, guys with very blonde hair look kinda weird, but thats just me, I bet.)Some shading on the jacket would be nice, just a few highlights and shadows, tonage would be nice too... ehh, anyway, good going ^_^ Here's to all the commentors I tried adding in some detail for you.

Done. Unless you all are gonna be ridiculously nit-picky.Take a few hours off the timer for lapses when I've wandered away from the computer.
rydicanubis (Oct 30, 2003)
looks to me like a linx with the head of a wolf...hm... and a piece of advice? the whole thigh area is way to big, maybe make it slimmer so it joins the body further back, instead of near the middle? looks good though! :)
Harmanye (Nov 1, 2003)
I think the thigh looks fine, with the doggy, uh, thing, being poised like that, arched back and so forth. With the back thing, it remind me of a cat, when it's mad. Are you doing the whole picture in greyed tones or is the doggy-cat-wolf the only thing grayish? Or are you going to lay colour over it in a new layer? Or whatever. I'll stop rambling before -I- don't even understand me.
Turtlebuster (Nov 2, 2003)
oh, isn't he deer!? I think he looks more like a racoon than anything else.
mazi (Nov 7, 2003)

Okay, first, about the title; its simple, have a sign point to 'here' or 'there' (Or 'anywhere', which we can't see.) seemed sort of like Alice in Wonderland nonsense. It points 'here' and 'there' because I was too lazy to make up names, but not lazy enough to make scribbles. About the timer; I left this open for 38 hours because I liked to work on it on and off, but this probably only took two hours or three.
Childlike_Vampire (Nov 6, 2003)
This is cool, I dig her outfit, especially the little viney looking design on the right there, and her hair is cool. Nifty idea for a piccy, as well!
Harmanye (Nov 6, 2003)
Thank'ee. About the outfit though; the shoulder-things were sorta stolen from Legolas' outfit from LOTR (movies). Not stolen in a very accurate way, mind you.Glad you like the vine-thing too, I was a bit dubious about it, but her top was just to plain without it. Thanks for the comment ^_^ |

I still need to color her, add a kite, and a lot...
Harmanye (edited Nov 2, 2003)
A suggestion. It is better to finish your unfinished piece (and in the future, perhaps; pieces) before starting new ones. Other than that, the shading on the hill is too dark from shade to shade, let the colours sort of leak into eachother; I don't mean blur it more, I'm not fond of the blur too, I mean to pick at least one colour to go in between the colours you have (try selecting a colour where the shades merge). Her head is too big as well, perhaps you wanted to have it big for more detail, but it would be more aesthetic if she were proportionate (And remember to darken up the lineart, it will be easier to colour that way). The clouds are very nice though, I often have trouble doing clouds, one bit of advice about them though; I don't think that they should slope with the hill, but that's the only thing odd I can find about them. Just trying to be helpful, so you can't complain that no one tells you how to be better ~_^. (P.S. Giving the girl a bit of a shadow would be cool too.) *Shrugs* Anyway, I'm not trying to be harsh, I know your unfinished, but I always think that if one starts out with a strange picture, they'll end up with a bad one. Just trying to prevent that, but do your own thing. OH and be sure to finish your picture with your next edit, because you're close to the KB limit.
ebilkitti (Nov 2, 2003)
I agree with Harmanye on many things except I think you need some source of light, or rays of light to give it a better touch, but it's your piece so... go with itWell... finished, I guess.. I like the sky, but the grass and girl look a bit... bleh...

The -pain-.
If you wanna do pure-pixel images your best bet is to steer clear of Shi-painter. Hopefully you aren't using SP-pro, because that's just suicide.
Lascaux sketch, seriously. Shi is more tablet-geared, and if you're trying to use a tablet to do pixel-art.... eek.
Okay, now that -that- is out of my system...
Nice eye; I like the shiny part.
Is it a dragon or just, ya'know, an eye?
The colour combination is very keen, it goes nicely with the iris to make it stand out more.
Of course if your eyes are wandering on a 50 x 40 trying to find a focul point... yeeah.
I won't mention a pupil since obvously this isn't a human eye and it's your picture.
(Perhaps I should work on condensing my comments?)
