Aw, poor him, he has no eyes! And a very femme stance. Hehe looks good, I dig the uber simple shading. That is beyond my skillz. Word. >>;
CrystalineWings (Dec 23, 2003)
You know what? I like simple looking art like this. It's just beautiful to me, really. And I like how you made the smoke. Ah, it's a cute picture. ^_^ Perhaps you'll make another like this sometime. ^_^

this is cute! does your wacom work on other programs (like photoshop)? if so, it should work with this (mine does). make sure its plugged into a USB port, and that you have put the software on your computer. it should work...
Tylop2 (Dec 19, 2003)
The new eye works for me :D. Cute picture btw, and nice hair, Only thing problem I have is....that I can't draw as good :(
HJ (edited Jan 11, 2004)
Aww, thanks for the nice comments! Yeh, my tablet works w/ Photoshop & Adobe Elements, stuff like that and is hooked thru an USB port. The problem is, I don't know how to get the tablet working with 2draw, like so I use the pen thingy and tablet instead of my regular mouse. (It is hard to explain, lol)

Edit: Okie, I understand now, it automatically works.. *nods head* But I'm kinda dissapointed cause the pressure sensitivity doesen't work with this applet. :(

Edit Again: I think I got it working now. Thanks.
marcello (Dec 20, 2003)
you can use pressure sensitivity on both lascaux sketch and shi-painter. You just need the JTablet plugin I made installed on your computer.

where is your site?
Childlike_Vampire (Dec 19, 2003)
Yay! The candy cane striping SO tops it off. I like her expression and cute pointy looking teeth. The lack of nose is fun too. :D

Beautiful color scheme. My only gripe is that it's kind of hard to distinguish it from a male or female. I mean... the skirt, yeah, but you can never know these days...

Not even breast? -points to the rise in shirt near the arm-
HJ (Dec 18, 2003)
Yes, very color-cordinated color scheme.. Btw, the song is very beautiful! I can see how you were inspired!

Smile, it won't hurt. (especially if you're depressed, like I was when I drew this...(and still am.)) Maybe I'll color it sometime.
edit-decided it would take too much space to add color, didn't like the lower hair highlihgts, but oh well... neck also needed some work.

Was depressed; oh well, the ear does need to be a teensy bit higher, but it looks OK right now.(except for the blowing hair which needs some highlights...)

Jesus Freak, if you haven't noticed, most of the Bible (mainly the Old Testament) is nothing but parables...the story of Adam and Eve is about children growing up, being disobedient, losing their innocence, and having sex (eating the FRUIT!). Anyway, I am a 'Chiristian' but being a Christian doesn't mean taking the Bible literally. It was written by HUMANS so that means they probably portrayed the things they were told to write (by God) in a false light...because mankind isn't 'perfect'. THE END
Vinegar (edited Dec 11, 2003)
This "God" thing is great.. Yesterday.. I had a flat tired.. And I prayed to God that I would have a spare in the back of my car... and lo-and-behold! There it was right in the back where I had put it 12 weeks ago! w00t

JF89 You have every right to bash homos.. Unfortunately It wont do a bit of good. But I would like to remind you that it also says in the bible to love your fellow man, no matter there sins, and let God judge them.. so getting in to a yelling contest with peoples morals, or outlooks are just going to make u look very prudish..

Lol.. There’s a girl I talk to sometimes, shes cute as she can be, but every time I crack a crude joke, or say a swear word, she starts quoting verses from the bible, and she’s a pretty lonely girl :/

OH Awsome pic BTW! the attempt is very anime stile..
Neko (Dec 11, 2003)
Cute. Wish I had the guts to draw like this.

You're doing very good work and there's not much you need practise in. If you see any flaw in your works, just remember to hone your skills by drawing even more. At least the rest of us get something to see.

Oh cool, this is neat!
I love the swirly things, and that butterfly is spiffy, I can definetly say you are getting better ^_^
Since I am who I am I must say smoother (as in less jagged) lines would be nice, but I quite understand that it is difficult sometimes.
Are you a mouser or a tablet-user (Tabby)? Either way qualities vary and it can be hard to get flowy lines.
HJ (edited Dec 7, 2003)
I use a mouse, but I am asking my parents for a Wacom Tablet for Christmas.. Possibly a Graphire or Intuos.
Thanks for your comments! Yah, I hope I am getting better! I drew PowerPuff girls for the first months I started doing oekaki (I was at PowerPuffOnline). I started this oekaki-business in June. But I have 'branched out' to anime & a little bit of furries. My Next Goal: Scenery! Or maybe not..
mazi (Dec 8, 2003)
i reccomend the graphire. thats what i use.. i dont really see a need for the really expensive ones. i only have a graphire2 4x6. it was $99 at the time, and well worth it. the only diff with the "better" tablets is more pressure sensitivity, or a bigger space.. i dont even really use the pressure sensitivity.
marcello (Dec 8, 2003)
I recommend getting a 6x8, and not a 4x5, no matter which line you get. 4x5 just isn't worth it. Now, graphire3 has 4x5 for $100, and 6x8 for $200. Whereas intuos is $300 for a 6x8. The advantage with an intuos is you'll have a much more robust tablet, (plus you can get platinum, while the graphire 3 design sucks and the colors aren't great). So it's really a question of if you're willing to spend $100 more for a more powerful tablet.
A side-by-side comparison. (I should mention I find the menu strip useless, the tilt can only be used in expensive programs like photoshop (7 and later), or painter (7 and later as well, I believe, 8 supports it). I'm working on a new applet that'll support tilt as well, though. I really like the intuos2 mouse, but I haven't used a graphire3 mouse to compare (The tablet mouse has completely replaced my optical). Since they have 6x8 in graphire as well now, that's not really a reason to go with intuos2 (one of the main reasons I went with it). Grip pen... that's probably also meaningless, it's nice, but dunno if it's worth it.

Aww, very lovely and delicate! I really like the stone wall and the rose! You are very good with scenery & plant-sy type stuff! How long have you been oekaki-ing?
Harmanye (Dec 7, 2003)
Awee, thanks HJ. I've only been on 2draw since August of this year, but I used to do paper (though my pencil have broken since) and doodle on Jasc PSP (But the trial is through) Of course it's a lot different from oekaki.
I also do 'Dollz' but thats a whole 'nother animal.

I'm glad you like it though, thanks for commenting too!
Childlike_Vampire (Dec 7, 2003)
This is very pretty, your drawings always have a certain rainy day feel to them. I especially like the red/pink flower, the petals rock. I don't really understand the left, the lines, and is the pink another flower? Mostly the lines are brain confuzzling to me. But the grass is nice and intricate, the moss on the rock...great!!
Harmanye (Dec 7, 2003)
Well I started out with that pink thing to the left, I sort of took off from there.
I've been doing Corner-Flowers like that forever. I just like them, though it _doesn't_ make sense.
I hope the rainy-day feel is alright, I don't know why they turn out that way; I suppose it's because I like greyed down colours a lot, that could contribute to it.
Glad you like the real flower though, and the mossy rock, ^_^.
