It looks pretty nice for the most part--especially the hair--but if you look toward the back of his head, it's a bit small. It almost looks like the back end was chopped off. I'd suggest making more of a curve toward the back to make it more anatomically correct.

Lewis' "The Great Divorce." I also recommend Luke 11:9-13. God would not withold Scout from his beloved daughter.

I have read the bible from Genesis to Revelations more than once or twice, but I haven't read "The Great Divorce". One I missed, but if you recommend it I'll read it soon. Wow, this is incredible, man. It gives me a meaning of Freedom and Love (in which the title already has) and ethereal beauty. =) And a spirit flying free.

And Deadlyblonde, or Cindy, I'm pretty sure that anyone with a soul or a spirit can go to heaven and that includes dogs. You know that animals also have spirits and so once they've passed this mortal life and their physical bodies are buried, they're in heaven, happy to be in peace. =) [BUT] as long as they (the dogs) never harmed anyone or killed another being, then they will be allowed in heaven. Their actions and how they behaved here on Earth does matter in order to achieve that place of peacefulness and good. (wow, I'm sounding a little preachy lol)

Anyhow, the point I'm saying is that this picture is interpreting Freedom to live and be at peace and it's beautiful. Very deep meaning. I hope you come to understand that heaven is the best place to be. There is no other place that you can experience eternal joy and... yeah... well, you get the idea, I guess. (not that I have experienced it but I do believe it's possible that THAT is the place...)

Okay, wow. -__- Goatlord, sweetie, when I attempt realism, you'll know it. This was not a realism attempt. See the lineart? That means there's still a vague cartoony aspect too it. And yeah, I realize all those things; in addition, her shoulders are actually too small for her head size, or her head is actually too big for her shoulder size.

Either way, it's art, and I can draw any way I damn well please. [PS]: I realize that most of that was probably constructive criticism, but it seems a little high and mighty too. I didn't mean to snap if you meant well.

Eh, it's cool. I know it's intended to be cartoony, but it was just lacking proportion, really. All young artists start out that way, I know I did.

When I discovered 2d way back when (early 2000's), this is one of the first drawings I saw here that TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND @___@ I could not wrap the idea of this being an actual 'drawing' around my head. I was just SURE it was a photo!!! I have to say that since then, I believe I have photorealism wrapped around my head just fine now :) Thank you, Xodiak, for the amazing inspiration!!

This looks like it should be an album cover for a death metal band, hehe. Definitely creepy, I like the slanted lines, it gives the picture a sense of movement.

lol, I've actually done this to quite a few of my portriat pics,especially the black and white ones.It's not hard to do once you get the basic face drawn.You just take the burn tool and start going over the eyes and mouth and stuff to give them a zombie or rottening feel to them.It's pretty fun to mess with :)...
