I showed this piece to couple other artists and they thought I did this in Photoshop. Not only that, but they thought I just took a photo of Bill Murray and manipulated it using tools and filters. It kinda worries me because I'm developing similar pieces for my editorial portfolio, I don't wanna look like some filter junkie. Any suggestions on how to make work like this look less filtery?

you could somehow convince me to finish up animation support on lascaux, and show them the animations?

Xod likes Bill Murray. He always lives the same day over and over and catches ghosts in his free time. Unless it is Christmas, then the ghosts catch him. You make fantastic caricatures Cloxboy! >:D
Oh and if you could take the photo of Bill Murray and apply deformations and distortions to change his shape, then apply some filter to reduce the colours and make him look painted like and you manage to come up with a result as good as this drawing, then it is a greater achievement than drawing the picture yourself. >;)
