I decided today that if there aren't going to be any dogs allowed in heaven that I don't really care that much if I get to go there, either.

ooo.... this is very beautiful.. it is so gental.. absolutly.. spectacular job on this as always.. great shading... and..... just... wow just read the message too, of corse all dogs go to heaven.. I remember when we had to put our older dog down in march.. it was really hard cause she had been with me all my life, she was older than me in fact, but I held her there, but I know that she is looking down now and that a part of her spirit is in our new puppy, but yes.. all dogs do go to hevean to make it simple
davincipoppalag (Sep 13, 2004)
Cindy..ALL dogs go to heaven..they don't even need forgiveness to get there.. the place is full of em.
emmamommalag (Sep 13, 2004)
What makes you think there are no doggies in heaven? Lovely piccy.
Shmoopy (Sep 13, 2004)
This is, as we little 9th graders say at school, Beautimous. Simply Beautimous.

And I agree with you. It upset me something terrible when my religion teacher told me animals don't have souls, and can't go to heaven.
davincipoppalag (Sep 13, 2004)
That's book learnin for ya.. It's plain to see that dogs are God's perfect creatures. They were put here to teach us how to give unconditional love and loyalty. Why do you think dog is GOD spelled backwards..
Ty854 (edited Sep 13, 2004)
Yeah, wtf? You can't be telling me that they made a feature length animated film on dogs going to heavan for nothing.
Urei-sama (Sep 13, 2004)
oh stunning! i saw the thumbnail and was like O.O it is beautiful but the left hand seems alittle off. i think the bottom of it is suppouse to go behind the right but it doesnt look quite right... besides that... wow
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 13, 2004)
Ya'll are so sweet... I never thought about it that way, and I didn't think anything could make me feel better but I think I am starting to. :) Thank you all.
me007 (Sep 13, 2004)
if I may ask... what brought that whole thing up.. like the question on whether or not dogs go to heaven? lol.. just cant stop looking at this pic.. it is unbelieveable
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 13, 2004)
well, I just always assumed that they didn't... somebody told me that in Bible class when I was little, I think... but it never seemed right to me, and yesterday my dog died, and it just makes me mad if they don't get in I don't want to go either. Thanks me..:)
me007 (Sep 13, 2004)
ahh... i c... it is hard losing such a close member of the family, but just remember, as my dad said when we lost our dog, they are looking down on us running around in heaven, and if you think about it right, dogs are one of the purest creatures on earth, a lot more peacful than us humans, and if us humans are able to make it up there, it is very easy to assume that our friends are up there aswell.. sorry to hear that though.. but only time will heal all wounds.. lol cheasy quote, but true
Axil62 (Sep 13, 2004)
All I know is that you're life has been enriched by the unconditional love that an animal has for it's master, owner, companion, whatever you care to classify yourself. Your life and experiences are better, richer for having known and lived with this friend and although she's not here now you love her. Love hurts at times like this, none the less you have it, because of her you have that love. The bond is not broken, you will lover her for the rest of your life. The memories and feelings are permanent. I don't know what heaven is like but I do believe there is no sorrow there, none. I believe that God loves all of his creatures and dogs have no capacity to sin. As you well know, death is part of the circle, pain is a reality but so is joy, so is love. It will get better. I know that when it's dark that's hard to believe. You know how this works but right now that doesn't matter, right now it hurts. Let it hurt, feel what you feel. I'm rambling so I'll stop now. Just one more thing, what was her name?
spiritdweller (Sep 13, 2004)
this is beautiful Cindy...and I think she will be waiting for you, she's probably at your side right now... again, so sorry
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 13, 2004)
her name was Scout, and yes it hurts, and I hate it, but it helps when people care, so thank you very much again.
spiritdweller (Sep 13, 2004)
I'm here for you if you need to talk, Cindy (hugs)
laurael (Sep 13, 2004)
Aw, Cindy...I'm so sorry to hear this...it 'is' hard losing a very much loved pet. This picture is a beautiful tribute...(((Cindy)))
Kasha (Sep 14, 2004)
:( I almost lost my dog the otherday. Each time I see how much people miss their pets it makes me cherish the little time I have with them. Very sweet pic Cindy. Don't worry. Poppa is right, all dogs go to heaven. :)
deannak24 (Sep 14, 2004)
Sorry to hear about your dog cindy...for def info on the subject luke 3:6 says ALL flesh will see the salvation of God.....not just humans although there are some animals that id rather not see lol...also says that God will withhold no good thing from those who love him......I think you will see your companion again...and for this draw its meaning is the best and you portrayed it beautifully
Aubrey (Sep 14, 2004)
This is really beautiful Cindy and I'm really sorry about your dog. They do go to Heaven though. Like Poppa and Axil and Dea said. I don't believe for one minute that dogs and animals don't have souls. Every single time I look into Paigey's eyes I feel her soul. A Heaven without dogs would be Hell. Ya know, nobody knows what Heaven is like but I truly feel like Heaven is feeling the total unconditional love of God. People look for that kind of love their whole lives in people and things.. but Heaven is moment when you'll finally realize and feel the whole intensity of that love and live everyday for the rest of eternity consumed in it with all the people and animals you loved here on earth. It's what everyone looks for and prays for. Your dog is feeling that right now. I can't imagine how happy your dog is right now knowing you'll get to feel that one day and be with her again. She's got her favorite toy ready for you :) I love you girly. *huge gigantic hugs*
Goatlord (Sep 15, 2004)
The thumbs can only be in that position if the PALM is facing you, but instead you see the front. It's a pretty critical error, but other than that it's well drawn.
Axil62 (Sep 15, 2004)
The person in this drawing is facing the viewer, the hands are held high, higher than the head so you don't see the head. There is no mistake here.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 15, 2004)
Aubrey you made me cry again. *Hugs back* Thank you. (Goatlord's been smokin goatweed or something I think?) lol
Zack (Oct 1, 2004)
This is a beautiful but bittersweet surprise. I grieve for you.

Cindy, heaven will better than you or I are even capable of comprehending. Forget those stupid cliches about having halos, wings and harps, and sitting around on clouds being bored. Your worst day in heaven will be a thousand times better than your best day in this life. No wonder Paul urges us to run the race so as to win the prize. You should read C.S. Lewis' "The Great Divorce." I also recommend Luke 11:9-13. God would not withold Scout from his beloved daughter.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Oct 1, 2004)
Oh, Zack... such a sweet guy... and you made me cry when I thought that was all over. I have read the bible from Genesis to Revelations more than once or twice, but I haven't read "The Great Divorce". One I missed, but if you recommend it I'll read it soon. I believe what you say is true. I could just hug you and squeeze the stuffing out of you if you were here. :)
Cordelia_Pink (edited Oct 4, 2004)
Wow, this is incredible, man. It gives me a meaning of Freedom and Love (in which the title already has) and ethereal beauty. =) And a spirit flying free.

And Deadlyblonde, or Cindy, I'm pretty sure that anyone with a soul or a spirit can go to heaven and that includes dogs. You know that animals also have spirits and so once they've passed this mortal life and their physical bodies are buried, they're in heaven, happy to be in peace. =) [BUT] as long as they (the dogs) never harmed anyone or killed another being, then they will be allowed in heaven. Their actions and how they behaved here on Earth does matter in order to achieve that place of peacefulness and good. (wow, I'm sounding a little preachy lol)

Anyhow, the point I'm saying is that this picture is interpreting Freedom to live and be at peace and it's beautiful. Very deep meaning. I hope you come to understand that heaven is the best place to be. There is no other place that you can experience eternal joy and... yeah... well, you get the idea, I guess. (not that I have experienced it but I do believe it's possible that THAT is the place...)

Peace out!
