Just for fun...(refresh)
emmamommalag (May 29, 2005)
hehehe.. very cute, laurael. :)
Gigge (May 29, 2005)
Hahaha...he is alot of fun. Gave me a good chuckle. I see your love of green creatures doesn't end with turtles. :D
Gigandas (Jun 3, 2005)
lol, just the pose and the hippie-style made me think of EarthBound's New Age Retro Hippie :P (gotta watch out for his deadly toothbrush attack; shines his teeth to blind you in battle lol). Cute drawing, and he's got that ninja turtle expression going as I can see ;).
sincity (Jun 3, 2005)
Hey, I didn't comment on this? Damn! it's hard to keep track. I really dig the style used on this. like airbrush work. Great pic sweetie. :} |

Ham
(May 25, 2005)
I'm trying to improve my art by working on my weak points. One of my major flaws is the lack of understanding on how to use colours properly, so for this drawing, I'm going to attempt to gain a better insight on its use.
Gigge (May 29, 2005)
Hi Ham. Welcome! This is looking good already.
Anna (May 30, 2005)
Glad to see you here, Ham :-) It looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your art.
Cordelia_Pink (May 30, 2005)
Wowzas, this is tubular! Above and beyond. To infinity and beyond! The shading looks like they're done by pencil crayons--which is great because pencil crayons are great too. I hope you carry on with shi-painter. It's such a great applet and when I first saw this, I thought it was done in Lascaux (which just tells me that shi-painter is so much better--'cause Lascaux is such a goody-two-shoe). Anyhow, welcome to 2draw. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the site. |

wow i love this!! the colours are fantastic!!
Renuar (May 31, 2005)
i like the idea of the people being on the rooftops, if im not mistaken...there's even a plant up there! (nice touch). - good concept - well done.
Zack (Jun 7, 2005)
Javier, you could get forty comments on every picture and still be underappreciated. This is fantastic. :)
zep (Jun 10, 2005)

my eyes are all blurry from allergies... I'm not even sure what I just drew
emmamommalag (May 29, 2005)
A lovely scene, Lori... very nice job.
Gigge (May 29, 2005)
I like the reflection. It's kind of like a puzzle trying to figure out where the real land is and where the reflection is. It's very pleasant to look at.
Kasha (May 30, 2005)
I like this one too.
StrawberryPaintbrush (Jun 1, 2005)
Oh my goodness! This looks just like the spot where my dad and I go fishing!! Its like you were there drawing it! The trees look EXACTLY the same. Weird. Anyway I love the picture and the grass is very well done. |

Wraith (May 14, 2010)
In the thumbnail, I see no flaws and it looks great! A closer look, and it could have been way better. Nice rushed picture!

It looks real enough. I feel like I can touch the fur. Greatness.
Gigge (May 29, 2005)
Thanks everyone for your encouragement. :DYeah, Zack, the muzzle is too small and there are a number of deviations and errors. I'm not sure I have the patience to correct anything in this one though. I'll have to try to stick closer to the reference in future realism exercises.
Cordelia_Pink (edited May 31, 2005)
He/she/it looks fierce and cuddable at the same time. What a wild cat! Your meticulous-ness made this picture turn out great! Wowza.

This is fantastic, Gigge! The feathery texture is REALLY great! :-D wtg!
laurael (May 23, 2005)
These are strange looking birds, aren't they? Good job on it... :) Hope you feel better.
Gigge (May 24, 2005)
Thanks for the comments everyone. I do feel better, Laurel. I honestly think I got a little seasick from staring at all the water.
HunterKiller_ (May 28, 2005)
This deserves showcase! Everything on the bird is so well done. The water looks nice, and the all the colours are very well chosen. |

– latest 4:are you in the mood for a collab? i´ve just added you right away...just in case. :) the case is that; sagenev, huirimeir and me decided to make a book with our draws here, and i was thinking that could be nice to include a collab with you.
Zack (May 23, 2005)
No need to convince me you like the picture, I can take criticism. The purple feels out of place to me for practical reasons. If you turn off the lights in your room at night and just leave the computer screen on, the projected light from the screen is generally more blueish or greenish in hue.I think the slight pinkness of the face contrasts pretty strongly with the surrounding technology since it's the only reddish hue in the picture, and one idea with his/her suit being blueish-greenish is that he/she is being assimilated into the surrounding technology. Depth between foreground and background in this case is primarily brought about by atmospheric effect, i.e. clarity of the foreground versus the blurriness of the background.
Xodiak (May 23, 2005)
I like the blue-green colours because they make the background cold and impassive, just like a room full of computers and spaceship controls. Probably in an emergency the room could be illuminated with a deep red colour. The purple version would probably be better if the alien was a bit more threatening and angry looking, like a Predator for example. >;)|XOD|
