oo yeah. He uses those thick lines and uh, uses red a lot. He does it with a different tool, but this looks reeally similar.

I can tell. Your drawing is definitely in the same style. If you sharpened it up a bit, and used less blur, it could look quite nice.

I lean back in my chair when I draw which is ok, but I have a LCD screen. And when I lean forward I'm all like WTF because the pic looks completey different. It looks much better when I lean back. |

I think the features, along with everything else, are perfect. She looks like a cherub. So pretty.(it has that renaissance feeling to it)

Hehe, no worries Kristine. Critiques are super cool things to get. Although praise is very nice, especially when sincere, critiques mean that someone took the time to look at the picture and put their thoughts into words. You're absolutely right about the eyes and the cheeks. I started drawing 'life size' so the eyes and cheeks are actually the same size as the reference. But, then I changed my mind and decided I didn't really like the face in the ref and made the nose and mouth smaller. I'll try to pay more attention to proportions next time. :)Thanks DBA and Dave. I wish I could make the rest of the picture match the eyes. It's good to have goals. |

I'm just trying to shake this artist's block that has me by the neck. I started painting and this came out. He looks kind of angry . . . maybe it's because his hair sucks.
