Ok, but I think it looks beautiful as it is.Btw..is his ear a little low? ;p The bottom of his ear should line up just above his top lip, so i think it's alright.

awww, does he get to come inside at all? Love dogs, I admire being able to draw one, I can not..interesting color, is he a herder?jess is a female of mixed heritage, probably blue and red heeler, kelpie,maybe some border collie. she is allowed indoors(except when she is wet)but prefers to be outdoors. just lost 3.5 hours of revise which was much better i think---note to self --unfloat before submit =P
suntan---dont draw a dog , draw some stuff that looks like a dog flubbles----that would be the loose, oversaturated look? in future i ll go for the unfinished button first. will revise further. |

Well, yay for perspective! haha ;PI agree with Flubbles. I'm proud of how well I did with it so far, but there's a lot of things that aren't right. The thing I notice most is the right side of the building that juts out: I made it a lot longer than it is in the reference picture. The left lower side isn't long enough, too, and other things are either too tall or too short, like where you can see inside up at the center of the building. I may try fixing those things... Maybe not. Don't know yet.
But I'm loving this! And thanks everyone for the comments! Hmm.
Turned off anti aliasing and drawing those two lines down there made a mess! Internet Explorer 8. Maybe I should use Firefox instead.

i was testing shading.umm... its like a little red ball and its shadow.... yeah i know its crap... even if it is my first.

Try darker reds on the ball near the bottom and a good highlight to show where the light is coming from. Clean up the pic and give it some depth and you should be able to make it look better.

This is really cool! Looks like you cut out a bunch of pieces of paper and stuck them to red paper (stating the obvious ;D ). Must have been a real pain doing it.

Not really, playing with the settings on chibi you can make the brush do a spaced out mark, i used a hard square bush size 9 set at 90% spacing to get this effect |
