The best thing about this picture is your idea. But the actual figures are pretty good and pleasant! I think you did a good job. One thing I think you should still work on would be the background. Try giving the tree, bush and ground a thin black outline and that make it look better. Or you could just try soemthing different all together, but I would try outlining first.

Dear Layton,Something horrible happened last night. Remember how I was tending Lady Worthington for the past week? She delivered today. Oh God, it was like nothing I've seen. It had no shape and once it...it...slid out of Lady Worthington, its tentacle-like appendage wrapped around her neck in a childish embrace... it had a gleam in its eyes like it was enjoying its meal, chirping and squealing over the muffled screams.
