I need to write a comment here, so...

Looks kind of like Jerry Ryan to me...I think it is a beautiful picture.
I think the eye on the left is a different shape than the one on the right...thats why they look funny to me. The one looks all open and the other is sort of squishy...I can't really talk though I have trouble doing to eyes that match! Maybe mine are mismatched and thats why I have trouble...?
Pseudonymous (Feb 11, 2006)
Thanks :)
I dunno - I don't really see it that way...maybe I've just stared at it wayyy too long. It could also be because she's sort of turned to the side and so her eyes are a different shape? *shrug*
Axil62 (edited Feb 13, 2006)
She is slightly turned to one side and here's the deal. The eye that is closer (not much at all, but closer) is smaller than the one that's supposed to be further away. This confuses the senses and makes the drawing look "weird". It should be the other way around, closer bigger, further smaller. If you look at the whites of the eyes, you'll see that her left eye shows more white on one side of the iris than on the other while her right eye basically has an equal amount of white on both sides of the iris...which again is backwards, her right eye would be more likely to show less white at the outside corner and the left eye more like you have her right eye as far as the whites of the eyes go. Also the corner of her mouth (her left our right) extends a little too far. The colors and shading are very good though, excellent really. The skull is pretty much a cylinder with a rounded top. You need to bend the facial features around the curve of the cylinder instead of portraying them as being on a flat surface.

Thanks, Axil! You really clarified the problem well for me. I can see it now. (I wish I could fix it, but oh well. Space constraints. :)

Moonlight on canvas, midnight and wine
Two shadows starting to softly combine
The picture they're painting
Is one of the heart
And to those who have seen it
It's a true work of art

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong...Fearlessly drawn
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this
Inspired by a vision
That they can't command
Erasing the borders
With each brush of a hand

Oh, the blues will be blue and the jealousies green
But when love picks its shade it demands to be seen

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong...Fearlessly drawn
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this

I never knew how much I loved red paint until today. I already knew I loved the sunset over the water. Exquisite!

scarred, forgotten, only half a face, fading away into the background, never amounting to more than a shadow...hollow stare seeing nothing.

turned monitor brightness all the way up...didn't realize there was still little bits of color where I did't want them. My normal setting is brightness 50 contrast 100...apparently...I never knew that before.

Maybe he's holding some kinda of binocular pinpointing device. The bloke can pinpoint and then the tank fires automatically! :O
Love the angles in this piece. Great draw! :)
marcello (Feb 9, 2006)
actually terracotta, that's a new 2draw feature I'm testing out on random accounts. it deduces the content of the picture and generates appropriate sound effects/ambient music when possible

is that a dream catcher thingy in the window? if not you need to add one :P
JoeNobody (Feb 10, 2006)
The thing in the window is a "Tot Finder" sticker that was popular way back when. So any emergency crews being called to a house would know what room a child occupied.

.....and do you really think I need to add a dream catcher? I know that if this was actually the trailer park I lived in, ALL me dreams would have already been answered. :-D
emmamommalag (Feb 10, 2006)
Ahahahaa That's priceless! You forgot one thing, though.. one of those rear-view bent-over fat ladies in flowered dresses with bloomers placards.
DarkCloak (Feb 10, 2006)
Oh man, this reminds me of home! It just needs some christmas lights (we keep those things up all year) and piles of old useless bicycles we've collected over the years.
