DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 16, 2006)
I haven't felt much inspiration to paint anything lately, and I kinda had the blahs and felt sad, so I was browsing photos of polar bears because that always cheers me up. They do so many cute, funny things and I end up laughing instead of feeling sad. I ran across this and wanted to paint it because of the pretty lighting. I love polar bears the bestest. I want one of my own but it's too hot here and it would just eat me anyway.

Omg, bahaha

Why is she so scared of polar bears?
ginny_91 (Mar 27, 2006)
Wow you are one of the best artist ever. I cannot believe this is a painting and on the computer. I'm not a bear lover but in this picture I think I sunddenly like them now!^^
Artiste (Apr 3, 2006)
My favorite thing about this is the way you painted the shadow on the face of the bear in the back. The transluscent quality shows such depth.
The colors are so sensitive, and palpable... (I love the way that orange next to pale lavendar happens so distinctly in nature)

Jimmy joined the army ‘cause he had no place to go
There ain’t nobody hirin’
‘round here since all the jobs went
down to Mexico
Reckoned that he’d learn himself a trade maybe see the world
Move to the city someday and marry a black haired girl
Somebody somewhere had another plan
Now he’s got a rifle in his hand
Rollin’ into Baghdad wonderin’ how he got this far
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man’s war

Bobby had an eagle and a flag tattooed on his arm
Red white and blue to the bone when he landed in Kandahar
Left behind a pretty young wife and a baby girl
A stack of overdue bills and went off to save the world
Been a year now and he’s still there
Chasin’ ghosts in the thin dry air
Meanwhile back at home the finance company took his car
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man’s war

When will we ever learn
When will we ever see
We stand up and take our turn
And keep tellin’ ourselves we’re free

Ali was the second son of a second son
Grew up in Gaza throwing bottles and rocks when the tanks would come
Ain’t nothin’ else to do around here just a game children play
Somethin’ ‘bout livin’ in fear all your life makes you hard that way

He answered when he got the call
Wrapped himself in death and praised Allah
A fat man in a new Mercedes drove him to the door
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man’s war

This makes me sad. You know how sometimes, things are so sad they are beautiful, and you want to cry, but it's just so perfectly beautifuly real and truthful you can't?.... I'm not sure what I'm trying to say. I like this a lot.

This literally made me laugh outloud. What a face! You do the best eyes. They always have that 3-D liquid lens look.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 16, 2006)
I can despise cats and still think this is a very good work of art, right? Right. HISSSSS stupid kitty kitty.
comd (edited Mar 17, 2006)
Very nice! I love the detail of the fur and the eyes. The way you carved his/her face out from a lump of fur from v3 to v4 is a very cool technique.

you sure know how to make a lady smile...thank you very much!
Jodylicious (Mar 16, 2006)
This is very cool, and it does look like a rose XD. I did something like this a few years back, and tried to find as many things as I could in it. Neat. =3
concannon (Mar 16, 2006)
Definitely has a really awesome effect if you move away from the screen, rather than being close. Great idea.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 16, 2006)
This is really fascinating.... you can find all sorts of things in the design if you look long enough. Neato!

That lineart is totally yeah. I'm not a fan of the style but I gotta say when something is just done really well.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 15, 2006)
This is silly and creative, and it flows like well-composed music. He ain't the hottest thing on the block, but, hey, if he's got rhythm. :) I like this drawing.
davincipoppalag (Mar 15, 2006)
I love the loosey-goosey feel of his posture, it looks like he lives in one of those funhouse mirrors. Funny pic

My vocabulary for this kind of art is so pathetically limited to words like "Awesome and Cool". You will forgive me won't you? >3
