ew the whole guts conversation reminds me of when I had to disect a rat...and the intestines literally looked like top ramen...needless to say I never ate ramen again

I think they look fine, cuz if you made the guts more realistic I am not sure I would be able to hold down my lunch. I like you color use, very nice
Sweetcell (Sep 6, 2006)
Don'tcha hate when that happens? So hard to scoop them up again.

My Great Grandfather Hanson immigrated from Norway. The woman in the picture and her story are fictitious but there really were Vikings and belief in the mythological Gods Odin, Thor, and Frey. I imagine that I could be a descendent from a viking village where the people beleive in the Gods of mythology. My great, great, great, great Grandmother would have been a woman of strong earth magic, being earth born, but legend is that Odin, the God of warriors, battle, wisdom, and poetry was her father. Being poetic herself, she loved to walk through the hillside and listen to the songs of nature and creation. She struggled with her heart often. She loved her people but longed for a more peaceful existence.

What a neat little story. :)... and I like your picture very much - the way you did the contrast and the shadows make it look 3 dimensional.
davincipoppalag (Aug 25, 2006)

I have planted Passion Flower vines (the flowers were a pretty lavender color) because it's the only place a Zebra butterfly will lay her eggs.... (the butterfly is rare to spot, it has long wings and it "floats" when it flies)... the butterflies feed on it and it makes them toxic to predators. The passion flower was also used medicinally by Indians for it's calming effects. I have never seen a red one, but I know there are several different types of passion flowers.

I like this picture, btw. :)
Axil62 (Sep 9, 2006)

Whooooa.... I just came back to look at this again, because I like it, of course, and now I see the face, too. (not sure if it would be Van Gogh for me, but I see a face) Wicked... cool.
HunterKiller_ (Sep 4, 2006)
I can see two faces. The Van Gough one, and a skull to the left.
Good job on this piece. I really dig the stroke texture.
Sweetcell (Sep 6, 2006)
After reading the comments and looking harder at this piece I can see Van Gough and the skull, and looking harder it seems like all kinds of skulls in different angles from profiles to head on shots can be seen. Really really interesting piece. And it's not an insult but I thought he was maybe a sasquatch passing a peaceful little village, that won't be so peacful anymore.
Zack (Sep 8, 2006)
That's supreme.
