This is the first tuturial of anything I have ever made. It's help on how to understand what layers ARE and how I tend to use them to help my drawing. I think it's pretty self explanatory, lol.

Okie dokie. I made this to visualize more what people try to describe. I am not very good at explaining things consicely, and people tend to lose interest when I try. So here you go, hope this helps someone!

Sweetcell (Apr 10, 2007)
Well I am bumping this so the no0bs can see it. Needs to go in a wiki.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 10, 2007)
I hope the blonde isn't the one explaining this. ;) I wish something like this had been here when I stumbled into this place. Then again, I probably wouldn't have gone to see, anyway. One Christmas Eve I was racing daylight because I put my son's tricycle together with the handlebars on backwards because I hate reading instructions. :)
Sweetcell (Apr 10, 2007)
Me too, I had to figure it out myself.

If I don't have instructions I ain't gonna try.

Very pretty sketch!! I wish I could play that well.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 10, 2007)
She's so pretty...and she looks "melancholy". Such a wonderful sketch.
absolutindigo (Apr 10, 2007)
I love the lips, nice!
Sweetcell (Apr 10, 2007)
A much nicer picture, I hope you go back and clean up the lines, especially around her face. The dark sketchy lines take away from a nice pieace.

Thank you~
Hehe, I taught myself how to cook recently :].
I'm sure it'd be a hassle if an electric pokemon is messing around while I'm trying to cook though @_@.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 9, 2007)
This is cute and funny. I love to cook, but I hate cleaning up the mess. I need SERVANTS!!!! (The more "mishaps" you have, the more fun it is :)
Maiko (Apr 9, 2007)
Ohhh I know what you mean!! D8 After I cook I just want to sit and enjoy the meal
without having to worry about cleaning up the crazy mess I probably made. >_<;
davincipoppalag (Apr 9, 2007)
Cookin' is so easy! I'm anal.. I clean as I cook..so when it's all ready.. there's no mess... I cook good too!.. I make killer meatballs and lasagna....Cute picture Mai!

I won't be wearing anything like this for a few weeks. I couldn't walk on my foot this morning so I had to go get an xray. I broke a chunk out of my ankle bone and tore ligaments in my foot. It hurts it hurts it hurts it HURTS.

This piece has come a long way in regards to detail, great job.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 4, 2007)
Thank you, Juno. I just now saw that this is a new quarter/gallery... and that this horrid thing is the only picture I have in there, and my initial thought was "how embarrassing"... and then I realized that it's okay, because later I'll be happy when I see it and remember those of you that said nice stuff even though the picture really kind of sucks. Then I thought to myself... it looks like you posted it just because you were hurt and you wanted attention... and then I realized... Yeah, I guess I did, and some people here were nice enough just to give it to me. Thanks again, ya'll. :)
Cameo (Apr 8, 2007)
Sorry bout that Cindy! ((((Cindy)))) Hope you feel better soon! Good work!
Sweetcell (Apr 9, 2007)
Oh Cindy be whiney, be cranky, Lord knows with all the hel you've been through your deserving to be so. Besides, you have a larger happier stronger outlook on life that superceded any bad moments. Something I admire in you. That youcould see the humour after youbroke it speaks volumes. (I can't believe the crutches made things worse. Try having the screws turned inward. And hey is all else fails cover them in duct tape, then it'll just rub against you, and not rip anything.)

You captured the greeny color of an exray well here. Don't think it's bad, cause it aint.

Maybe it is a baldheaded man, whos implant plugs are not working.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 8, 2007)
This made me laugh. I think you're one of the funniest people I have ever known. I love to laugh. It's almost my favorite thing to do.
MelissaMissy (Apr 9, 2007)
I think it´s landed on the head of a person who is almost bald and has scabs on his head from scratching it. Also looks like the person who owns the had never has a shower!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 9, 2007)
Did you know that flies "spit" on stuff to dissolve it before they consume it through that little straw thingy they have for a mouth? I think that's how it goes. One reason I thought this was so funny is because of the fly's expression. He has that look that you get when you take a drink of something and it's not what you thought it was gonna be. Doesn't matter if what you take a drink of tastes good, if you expected it to be something else it's surprising, and awful.

Actually, people laugh at me a lot, but I don't think it's because I'm trying to be funny...they usually shake their heads right after they laugh. :D

OHHHH my..... I just noticed the * 'nother day * thing.... I thought I was the only one that said that. They tell me when I was little I used to stall going to sleep after getting a good night kiss by saying... "Now kiss my cheek,... now kiss my 'nother cheek..." haha... that is so funny that you used that here.
Anna (Feb 17, 2007)
haha Yeah! People always laugh at me when they hear me say that >.< It's a habit. lol @ "they usually shake their heads right after they laugh" I think I'm your mini-me Cindy O.o lol

I gotta tell you poppa that I thought of you while drawing this!
Kloxboy (Apr 7, 2007)
I'm diggin this too. Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason to your abstract pieces but then you produce pieces like this which are obviously thought out and imaginative. Nice work.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 8, 2007)
Oh pretty, I love it.
Sweetcell (Apr 8, 2007)
Very regatta like. A good abstract that would look good on a wall. Hope you had a good Easter Donna. I'm stuffed myself.

A beautiful face peering out of a sweater..and dappled by light coming through the trees.. not something you see every day!..Beautifully done!
fleeting_memory (Apr 7, 2007)
I actually really like this-it has that cool 'standing-under-a-tree' shadow/light fall on it. Cool!
emmamommalag (Apr 7, 2007)
I love the way the light falls on this face. And it's a great face, too.
brenndurdrykkur (Apr 8, 2007)

hideyourface (Apr 7, 2007)
poem i wrote.

I left it on.
I left the light on.
Before it was on, I hoped he had gone.
When I turned the light on,
And the darkness had gone.
I knew-
I’d be dead before dawn.

When the cold had come,
When it ran down my arm,
It had come like a shock.
My body was numb,
Like a cold steel alarm,
Bound to the floor.
Though there wasn’t a lock.

My throat had gone dry.
My cry came as whimpers.
I couldn’t ask why
Its face crept upon me.
I couldn’t explain
(Though I try in last breaths)
How it said it would kill me.

Before the sun broke.
Before clouds that were red!
When a surreal being took
My life, I was dead.

interesting. I like the pic for sure. The poem/ story is also good. I like. :}
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 7, 2007)
The poem is very "loaded" and powerful, and the painting compliments it very well.
