The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices -- to be found in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own -- for the children and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
Rod Serling (1924 - 1975)

I believe he was one of the most creative geniuses of our time, and changed the way we view the world. This one is for the others who were knob-clicking, rabbit-ear adjusting kids who loved him like I did.

(I couldn't find any one reference picture that I was happy with, so I just sort of combined stuff I found)

Now that is an odd thing....
Not the picture..it's amazing...

--to which I might add, that many ideas have died on the vine, cause, basically,"with wisdom alone you don;'t go to market."this guy needed a tv. network, and cash,or else the twilight zone would just be an idea in a notebook,in the trash. Even microsoft needed some money to get started. Its one of the main reason we "babyboomers"were so creative,in the 60's,the economy was good, there were jobs,ect.ect. We had the fuel. Gotta have the fuel. It'll be interesting to see what happens to creativity in this era,in the US,and the future;already reality shows on t.v. stink to the Heavens, ugh.TV has never been so bad.Reality shows cost less to make,no writers to pay.But tv stinks so bad,I rarely watch it. During the 60's,we had so much good tv, it was dizzying. sigh.Twilight Zone looks so good now.

Hah! uhuh... thanks for *getting that*, Laurael. :) (I don't know, though, one of the things I had to stop drawing to do was to have an argument with my husband, so.... LOL) I won, of course, though. ;)

Axil62 (Jun 17, 2004)
I think this is deceptively good work. Sure, it's funny and that's what most likely gets all of the attention but the artwork is wonderful, the background makes this realy pop.

Moonlight on water

woa great job on the water
Keket (Jun 15, 2004)
The moon is pretty good but it does not look like its exuding the light that is being reflected from the water. Also When the moon is emitting light it does not send it out in one beam of light, only lighting whats underneath it and straight out.Try highlighting around that line of light so that it gradually goes from light to dark. But a pretty picture.
davincipoppalag (Jun 15, 2004)
Good job on the water MizzCindy.. This is so beautiful
Knockoff (Jun 17, 2004)

Yup, that looks like Texas allright. Like the grass detail and the sky is great. (if this is a view from the rearview mirror,..it'd be per.... wait a minute, I just remembered the Magnum,..never mind).
davincipoppalag (Jun 14, 2004)
This here is Mizz Cindy's driveway...she just fired up the Silverado..and headed out to check the mailbox..waaaaay off in the distance.... nice one good perspective
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 14, 2004)
Naw, we have lots of trees where I am. This would be what somewhere close to Amarillo looks like. (Although there are a few places out here close that look kinda like this)
thug (Jun 14, 2004)
that'd be a great place to fly a kite. Looks like the tractor dude has a full days job plus. This is another good one Cindy!

Very cool picture...that dollar sure looks real...but in my world, it's 'Another day, another 'dime'...(inflation ya know...)...jk (but it sure 'feels' like it).
DejasView (Jun 12, 2004)
Amazing. A lot of symbolism could be construed from this piece.
Pantera (Jun 13, 2004)

You don't want me to pull out my reference for this one.
(Mine has a 6" barrel... I drew it w/ a 4" here because I wanted it this size and couldn't make the canvas wider.)
