Specialty Boards/Contest!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 28, 2005)
I thought this idea Axil had was pretty cool, and it's been interesting to watch the results so far, but this was the first reference that inspired me to participate.

I meant for this to go on the Theme Board... If a mod has time and wants to mess with it.... ? thanks :)

Oooh, this looks really good. I love the way you did the glass.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 1, 2005)
Yes, tis a very pretty reference picture. Thanks... and it does like it's new home :).
Cordelia_Pink (Mar 1, 2005)
The man looked like he was moving closer to the girl, and the girl's expression changed. Looks pretty good though.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 1, 2005)
Yeah, in the reference it looked to me like she thought he was equivalent to something on the bottom of her shoe, so I changed her expression.

i will never know how you can do such amazing, detailed peices of art. all i can say is wow
Cordelia_Pink (Feb 19, 2005)
"Soft" is definitely the word most people described this as, which is true. But I'm also looking for other words to describe this by its appearance and the effect it has on people. It's, it's, it's um... what's another word for 'wow'? Ah, distinguished. lol
Austin400 (Feb 20, 2005)
realisticly woderfullish...any other word for that??
LordCronq (Feb 20, 2005)

I don't, I fidget and I piddle and I get up and go outside and check the mail, and talk on the phone, and... umm... that's one reason why this stupid picture has so many hours on it. I kept asking myself "what were you thinking when you started this?"
Aubrey (Feb 14, 2005)
What a cool picture. I love the car and.. just... everything! It's really crazy good all over :)
Daidaiiro_Mushi-Kitsune (Feb 16, 2005)

Gigandas (Jan 18, 2005)
Hey, didn't see this one either.Man, I missed some good stuff today^^;.I still don't know how you managed to draw more than one body in the picture.Somehow, I just can't do that.Same with that grass.Must take some serious patience.Nice to see you added the cloud of smoke there caused by the horses. The details just make this one come to life.Dunno if I would feel comfortable sitting there with five big horses comin' right at me...
Turtlebuster (Jan 19, 2005)
pure righteousness.
which one is Lou Diamond Phillips?
Aubrey (Feb 14, 2005)
Horses are sooo hard to draw.. and you drew five of them so well! I love that dust fading into the background... and the background... and the ground itself... and the things on the ground...

Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend never had a golden retriever. (Scout's Saturday bath)

Very cute dog and that is better bubblage than I could ever do, so more power to ya! lol Can't imagine a way to make it look any more like real bubbles. Most dog's fur don't clump up when they get a bath, every dog I've had hasn't anyway. It's only messy when ya give it a good "fluff up" with a towel and that's hardly done when there's still bubbles all over it lol :-D
gloworm043 (edited Apr 15, 2004)
I love your dog! So cute, and I really like the bubbles... :) Very realistic DBA..makes me smile looking at him.
taori (Jun 27, 2004)
hey, my pup's name is scout! only she is not bubbly. love the fuzz and the eyes. very puppy-ish.
JoJoFries (Jan 21, 2005)
I definiatley, totally, and completely agree although not just golden retrievers but all dogs. Who ever said Diamonds are a girls best friend and Dogs are a mans best friend was so mixed up

There are two dates of time that they'll carve on your stone
and everyone knows what they mean
but what's more important is the time that is known
as that little dash there in between.

This, Miss Cindy, is beyond amazing. I am a true animal lover and I believe you portrayed this deer with exactly the feeling and the grace it should have. Your drawings are amazing but this one adds feeling and its just perfect.

I don't think I will sleep too good now.

A whiskey bottle comforts me
And tells me not to cry
While a full moon says a prayer for me
I try to close my eyes

But the night's there to remind me
Of the guns and the early graves
The ghosts appear as I fall asleep
To sing an outlaw's serenade

Oh... the desert's been a friend to me
It covers me by night
And a snakebite's not my enemy
But it taught me how to fight

Dyin' ain't much of a livin'
When you're livin' on the run
Dyin' ain't much of a livin' for the young
Is it too late to ask for forgiveness
For the things that I have done ?
Dyin' ain't much of a livin' for the young
