sorry i was waiting for the picture..i had no idea that you had started...but i shoudl comment on it..you did a fantastic job on everthing i love the colours you used (the greens and such) it does remind meh of a rave slightly and of the ware..you are an awesome style and i am looking forward to seeing more of yer works

do you think that i'm ready for intermediate? i can't tell 'cause i've seen some really good stuff in beginner, but yet, i've seen really bad stuff in intermediate. don't judge my art by this pic...please. look at my other pics and then tell me. or judge me by this if you think it's intermediate stuff. PLEASE! i need to know!

Anatomy is the study of the human body, its proportions, and how it works. To study anatomy, you can read books on the subject (there are plenty of them out there, most of which have drawing exercises to help you improve), take a drawing class that emphasizes drawing the figure, or, quite simply, observe and draw others to see how the body looks in verious poses, in rest, in motion. It's all about practice.
And, hey, no need to feel like an idiot... the human body is probably the hardest thing to draw, and most everyone has trouble with it at some point. (Anatomy can also be for potential doctors and nurses, but those classes are generally fairly different from the classes taken by artists. O_o )

I am going to be honest and say I don't think you're ready for intermediete. I barely am, myself. But you have improved, that is true. Plus there is no hurry to be intermediete or anything else, art is about fun not skill level, imho.

Music can inspire your subject (Violin is one of the best musical instruments ! ^^).
It's a girl playing violin in front of her young brother.

I strongly agree with Marcello's suggestions. Also, if that is a mirror on the left wall, it would be reflecting something, and doesnt even contain reflections of the wall color opposite. If it were a window, it would partially continue the other window scene.

Other than that, this is wonderful composition and the subjects and colors are very well executed. It also has alot of feeling - You should consider illustrating children's books!

Well, I am assuming what you think is a window on the left with the clouds is probably a painting on the wall. Kind of disappointing that he did not fix the violin, but one can only do so much, I suppose.

And for the violin ... I think I'm not gonna touch this picture as I won't be able to draw a better violin ...
I should practice drawing musical instruments on paper instead ... For my next big picture :)

wow! i really like how this turned out and i'm really glad that i spent the time to re-do it. well, it's pretty cool, you have to admit. oh, and i tried to make the orange on the book look gold by using dodge. i don't know if it worked that well, but it still looks nice!
