First oekaki ever! Mostly just playing around with the appletthingy and generally getting to know the tools. Used a reference pic [http://www.aquahotels.com/galleryresources/bourgas/pool_4.jpg] found on Google. I learned a lot of things while creating this picture, you know. First of all, that drawing with a mouse creates Big Headache and Much Cursing. And that maybe I'm not the greatest artist in the world. ^_^U Criticism welcome.

I can't give you any advice or criticism at all, for I am just an apprentice myself. But....I think this is a good picture for a first try. A lot better than my first. I'll tell you just like everyone tells me. Keep practicing! You will improve. |

I agree, I think the rocks are the best part of this. Maybe you should try a desert scene... like Monument Valley or something. I did an oil painting of it once, it was one of my best, I thought... I gave it to one of my brothers. I thought about doing one here, but don't think I ever did. Do keep practicing, you'll only get better.

Rocks that rock, as always Dan hit it right. I just suggest you make the water farthest on the horizon closer to the water washing up on the shore, that sea green/blue, thin out some of those thin white trails, and whatever those grey things are in the distance, blur them (lightly) so they look farther. Makes me think of a post card from Florida. Pretty. |

Marcello....you missed it I guess but I said "(applies to other societies too but I'm talking western here)" I could have made that more clear but I figured most people would have assumed I wasn't daft enough to think that beauty obsession only applied to the US. :D

My take on a scene from "A Christmas Carol". I used a ref, the Scrooge character is my step dad and Tiny Tim is my nephew. If you haven't seen "A Christmas Carol" before, I highly recommend the 1951 film "Scrooge" aka "A Christmas Carol", it's the best of the film adaptations, in my opinion. I'm using this drawing as my Christmas card this year (e-cards mostly). As it stands, this is my Christmas card to all of you. :D
