I've always been a fan of scribbles.
Sweetcell (Jan 25, 2007)
This is a departure for you, like Dave said it looks like you used crayons. Do more of these.

Side note I can see this used as a card.
woah_pockster (Jan 26, 2007)
hhaha I love this coloring style you did a kick ass job with this :D
lori (Jan 26, 2007)
thanks, I'll have to scribble more often, I didn't expect this would be liked as much

Pop!

That is quite the outfit, just what are those white things peaking out from her sleeve? And the shading is one I've always been jealous of, everytime I try cell shading I always go over and over it till it's blended to nothing. Nicely done Mai, she's got a don't fuss with me attitude. Oh and yes, the lolly.
Maiko (Jan 24, 2007)
Those are just tassely things on the sleeves :];;
I didn't mean to, but I kind of used a pokemon as a ref. XD http://www.asmodee.com/dl/kyogre.jpg

she just wants to eat her lollipop in peace XD
psychofox0 (Jan 24, 2007)
wow, you do have good shading. O_o.. hhmmm, and yeah she
is hot. Nice one Mai.

I kind of looks like a picture my dad took of himself on accident. We told him the film was already wound, but he didn't listen.
I love the background. It's simple but effective.
Kloxboy (Jan 23, 2007)
HA! Lol, that face is beautiful.
solve (Jan 23, 2007)
That expression from the viewing the internets. The expression makes me lol so much. Youre fine and dandy at portraits!
Sweetcell (Jan 23, 2007)

How does one do these pieces? I'd like to try one day. You are becoming the official landscaper of the community.
Axil62 (Jan 24, 2007)
Now the bricks lay on Grand Street
Where the neon madmen climb.
They all fall there so perfectly,
It all seems so well timed.
An' here I sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going through all these things twice.
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end,
To be stuck inside of Mobile
With the Memphis blues again.
a_blue_orange (Jan 24, 2007)
it's so cool and boxy!!!

Nice work with the folds and the hair, he must have some fabulous volumizer shampoo. The hands are off but you really don't focus on them. Fantastic Caddris.

I like this and the works youve done lately. It showing actual knowledge of the subject through color/shape. By all means keep up the great work. Expand even, when comfortable.
Caddris (Jan 23, 2007)
I really like all of the colors you used on her face. And the contrast between the square-ish hair and round body is pretty neat.
Dr.Snoopy (Jan 23, 2007)
Thank you very much :)
I feel kinda comfortable with the drawings I did lately...not sure how long it will last, because I don't feel like understanding what's going on.
It's all just experimentation and may develop in direction that you don't like...

The problem with me is that I fear expectations.
Sweetcell (Jan 23, 2007)
It's like you took Cubinism and Impressionism and married them together. It could be a gallery piece.

Klibese (Jan 23, 2007)
It was only then as they walked the hill, their child in tow, that Beverly could put their troubles far away and revel in the joy of the family he'd fought to bring back together, despite all odds. He loved the elf, with both his hearts he loved her, just as he loved their "Little Monster", Akandoroh.

Still, the time came for the question, as there was much she did not know or could not remember. "Beverly?", she asked in that young, yet eloquent voice that soothed his equinesque ears, "Were there times when you thought about giving up on all this? On Akandoroh and I?"

A wind would blow gently past them, and he would stretch out his torso before he replied; "As well thou knoweth, Flynnarill, I art not a saint."

Awww. Very cute. The baby centaur is adorable! I just want to pick him up and take him home with me. My roommates wouldn't mind.
Childlike_Vampire (Jan 23, 2007)
Wow, how neat. What a wonderful story idea, and a great picture to go with it. Perfectly illustrated! I love this.
Klibese (Jan 23, 2007)
Akandoroh can be a load of trouble, as he tends to want to get into everything and demands constant affection. (Just look at him cying for it now!) That, and people might start questioning how a half-elven centaur came into being. And think of the food costs!

But Danke, thought I really wish this was perfectly illusterated. I need to fix Akandoroh's leg and Beverly (The Biggun') could use slightly shorter legs, sicne he's based off of a Clydesdale. (if the Feather and his size didn't tip that off)

Lady lights a cigarette, puffs away,
no regret
takes a look around,
no regrets, no regrets
stretches out like branches of a poplar tree,
says 'I'm free'
sings so soft as if she'll break
says 'I can sing a song so blue
that you will cry in spite of you'
