Comes a time when you look back. I remember times before I discovered this site and many many more before it, before the internet at all, and my life had more quality. I spent my time persuing other intrests but I had balance. It seems to me that this has become an addiction, make no mistake, every bit of an addiction as drugs or alcohole ever were. I have a compulsive personality and when I find something I like, I tend to become obsessed and it consumes my thoughts and time. My family, my self image, my quality of life have all suffered as a result. I know how much I disliked it whenever someone would write a note and say goodbye and I swore I would never do that, that if it ever came my time to go I would simply go. And of course there is always the risk of making a fool of yourself by doing this and then comming back. We'll see. A fond farewell to you Marcello, and everyone with whom I've come to know or interact with. Wish me luck.Dan

This fills me with great sadness, but I think I understand it. Your reasons for doing it are just one of the many reasons I have always admired you not just as an artist, but as a man of great character. I hope there will come a time (soon) when you find it comfortable to be here to share your beautiful expressions of art with us. I, for one, am willing to wait patiently to see you here again.

I, too, was one who came to your site every day just to see your wonderful art. I loved the diversity, the willingness to try so many types of expression, and always the greatness (and sometime silliness) of your thoughts which accompanied the art. You think deeply, love deeply, and I know you will continue making hard decisions based on your tenacity to endure and improve. You've been there, and you're going on. Bless you on the journey. Your life has made a difference to me. May I give you a standing ovation?

Looks pretty good when you take a glance, but in detail (assuming you're practicing the real human skeleton) there could be some improvements. LisaAnne did cover the fingers which will need more joints and the hands themselves have tons of smaller details near the wrist (find a reference for accuracy/this also goes for the feet). The right hand angle looks funky along the pinky and the bottom of the hand too (might wanna mess with that to get it to look right). I also see that the right thigh bone (?) gets rather thin as it gets to the ball part of the bone near the pelvis, but on the left side, it doesn't making it look a bit deformed in comparison. There are more things but I'm kinda in a hurry at the moment so if you need another person's eye for some help again, I'll give you more things to look at. Good luck with that.

Wow, first of all, that's totally awesome. Okay now for the help with anatomy. It looks like you have the ribs articulated to the scapula (shoulder blade). The colar bone is the only bone besides the humorus that is attatched to the scapula. The scapula sort of floats over the rib cage and glides back and forth and up and down when the arms move. You're missing the last two false ribs but that's not really a big deal because they'd have to be seen through the rib cage. There should be some vertabral processes visible at this angle. The ball joint of the femur comes off at more of an angle. The right femur is pretty close to the right angle. And finally just make sure that there is a clear distinction between the tibia and fibula of the lower legs. But I absolutely love the rotation you put on the radius and ulna! That's perfect and just breath takingly gorgeous. I'm in anatomy class this year and I'm absolutely fascinated by the beauty and form of the vertabrate skeletal system. I've also noticed that the anatomybase has helped my drawing, always a plus. If you want a good reference book for antatomy for art I would suggest "Drawing Human Anatomy" by Giovanni Civardi. It's pretty in depth and leaves out all the really deep tissue organs and muscles that have absolutely no effect on the outward shape of the body.

Thanks. He's not helping with the actual painting of the art, I have him as collaborator on some of my pieces so he can access the layers for animation.

I disagree about the background...I think there is harmony in the color choices, and also usually when Lil' Jon is out using the pimp cup its at night...lol.But Yeah, that's also just MY opinion.
