i did a ceramic angel in ll grade...and I always felt that something was missing in the piece.....this is one of many i hope to try to draw....in an attempt to understand my piece better....thanks for any comments you may have on her wings....i can do it in ceramics but drawing wings is another story.... she is holding an ankh...<sp?> lol...i cant spell that.... |

hmmm, and the first time i tried this it took a lot longer...but then my computer died and i had to do it over.. *growls* hopefully it turned out alright....

the legs aren't too skinny, although the right leg is bent just a little bit unusually. The problem I would be more concerned about is his jawline and back. His jaw should be a little more convex ttowards the back, where it folds into the neck. The back 2/3 of the horse are angled wrong, I think. I would make it's right, back leg a little more foward and then show more of the horses rump, so the horse is coming just a little more towards the camera....and it is very nice. i have to start remembering to put the compliments in my original comments. :D |

either you have hairy eyes, or your hair is made of cones and rods. For a self portrait, i think you could have spent more time on it. also, i don't know if you were going for realism, but if you were, remember that things in real life don't have black outlines.

oooh that looks a lot like him! How about .......an Japanesde temple or somethin surrounded by those trees with pink flowers in them......and then a river running by it. I don't have anything against trees that have pink flowers in them. Even tho I don't like pink.edit> heh cool

Ah, you see... the horse has spotted a pink giraffe and is now calling for backup and potato peelers with which to destroy it! ok, so thats not to likely but...by "nose" did you mean "nostrils"? cause i'm confused about that but hey, it looks awesom as it is.great shading and background! the only thing i see is that it's lower jaw doesn't match up with the top.

Really does remind me disturbingly of The Ring....I don't know though, I stopped worrying about Samara crawling out of my TV after about my 5th viewing of the dubbed version of Spirited Away. "It's only Daveigh Chase, it's only Daveigh Chase, it's only Daveigh Chase..." Hehehe. Awesome picture, though. The shading's great.
