Very nice....You have tremendous talent. This would make a great series of boards.
You know...after browsing through so many artists on here....I think it would be fun to have a comic with each panel done by a different person on here. Creativity tag. Each artist does a panel, then picks the next one to do it....or else the moderators do...lol.....the trepidation of seeing memos waiting....wondering if you've been chosen for the next panel....Dont know if theres a suggeston box...but I'm going to look.
KiwiKitsune (Jul 18, 2004)
Woah! Woah, woah, woah! :D I LOVE the lineart on this! It's absolutely freaking amazing!! >> You gotta teach us all how to do stuff like that... *sighs*
Zack (edited Jul 18, 2004)
Believe it or not, the timer for this is pretty much accurate. I spent versions 5 and 9 doing nothing but cleaning up the lines. That's about 4 hours. For the antialiasing in version 9, all I did was crank up the music, zoom in to 300% or 400%, and set brush/eraser opacity to one-third.

Jack: The closest thing we have to a suggestion box is Marcello's inbox. It wouldn't hurt to post your idea in the forums too, so you could rally support. It sounds like a cool idea to me. Also, I like series because they give me certain limitations to work with... if you ever get stuck on what to do next, you just pick one of your series and continue it, y'know?

Ty: That one probably would have worked out pretty cool, but I didn't want this guy to look evil, so I decided against it.
Ty854 (Jul 19, 2004)
alrighty. you should do an evil one tho too. that'd be pretty cool.

emmamommalag (Jul 3, 2004)
This turned out really nice, you two. I like that background and her hair, especially.
cmb (edited Jul 17, 2004)
I have downlaoded a new version of java but still cant access the dratted picture- although now Im not getting the error message argh! and all I want to do is complete her hand! BTW thanks method for changing it back to unfinished....I give up! Im going to post ity as finished and leave it behind!
davincipoppalag (Jul 17, 2004)
It's still very pretty..you don't really notice that hand (I'm a guy ya know hee hee) Aren't these things exasperating some times! I spent over two hours on a bg for a pic only to have aol crash during submit..and it went to limbo..no recover...so I did it all over again..and it crashed again! This time it was there for recovery..(good thing.)

That's great, right outta the storybook and even better than the pictures I've seen of it! You rock girly.
Cordelia_Pink (Aug 18, 2004)
This looks like the animation in James and the Giant Peach movie. This would make a great film. lol Nice job. Hmm... I wonder where the white rabbit is...?

Well, the creativity thing I mentioned is just directed here at 2draw.I do plenty of originals offline cause my strength is in lineart and lineart is not too compatible with a mouse^^;;.I dunno, I guess I'd just like to be able to show it here though.
emmamommalag (Jul 16, 2004)
Welcome back, Lori. Nifty picture.. I like it. :)
Zack (Jul 17, 2004)
This is good, Lori. I like its style. The washed out colors give it an earthy feel, like this is something you would see on a fancy coffee mug or coaster.

Gig: Ha!
Aubrey (Jul 17, 2004)
This is really nice Lori :) Welcome back!

Oops...would that be called, 'playin' for comments? LOL...I'm sorry, you should have just ignored that comment and I would have quietly slunk away...*grins*
Gigandas (Jul 20, 2004)
Nah, don't worry about it....we all make mistakes :)..................................I for one make too many of them ;).

I thought this was an Axil piece when I first saw it!! lol Great job Mister :)
davincipoppalag (Jul 16, 2004)
How about a smoke cloud with highlights from those "concert lights" you see on stages.. you know..the red blue background overheads and a spotlight on the singer kinda thingy..
Zack (Jul 17, 2004)
I really like this composition, Jim. You did a great job of cropping it. Seems fine without any fancy background to me. This really does look like vector art. Tell you in a second, Emma.
Urei-sama (Jul 17, 2004)
whoa thats crazy, i love the effect. its really good for the picture. really nicely done!

Awesome sketch, and that's a wicked skull. Tell me that isn't his tail, though.
davincipoppalag (Jul 16, 2004)
It's not his tail zack , it's his conjoined twin. The twin is someone epidermally challenged..Great sketchy pic Mr Dino
Anna (Jul 16, 2004)
Very interesting! You did a great job with that skull and the spine :D

You best do what she says.

My second attempt at realism, many thanks to DBA for the reference.
This pretty lady is a Victoria's Secret model, but I couldn't find her name anywhere. You'll have to ask DBA when she gets back.

should have done this before, but just to make sure nobody thinks this is a terrorist or that i am a terrorist sympathizer...this should put the painting into perspective a little bit
this is a quote, an excerpt from an essay by insurgent subcomandante marcos of the Zapatistas released in 94

"The oldest of the old in the Indigenous communities say that there once was a man named Zapata who rose up with his people and sang out, "Land and Freedom!" These old campesinos say that Zapata didn't die, that he must return. These old campesinos also say that the wind and the rain and the sun tell the campesinos when to cultivate the land, when to plant and when to harvest. They say that hope is also planted and harvested. They also say that the wind and the rain and the sun are now saying something different: that with so much poverty, the time has come to harvest rebellion instead of death. That is what the old campesinos say. The powerful don't hear; they can't hear, they are deafened by the brutality that the Empire shouts in their ears. 'Zapata,' insists the wind, the wind from below, our wind."

the whole essay can be found at http://zapatistas.net/two-winds.html

Great piece. I watched the animation. You wiped out a background guy. The gun must have backfired.
Fin_beast (Jul 15, 2004)
This picture makes me feel very uneasy. It's scary how it makes you feel like you are being threatened.
I really like this picture and it's one picture that I think should have a place in the showcase.
I may try something like this, to try and get the same effect.
Ari (Jul 15, 2004)
Lovely picture... Wish I could draw that well...
misterjimsan: No, Nader can't win. A vote for Nader is a vote for Bush, so vote Kerry ^_^

Wow, very realistic drawing, the focus on the firearm makes it so great.
Oh and I saw the decapitation video on a website, without any censoring.
