marcello (edited Mar 30, 2007)
Update: due to technical difficulties the maintenance did not go as planned. I have reopened the site while we investigate alternate solutions. Sorry for the downtime! Happy Drawing, Marcello 2draw.net team --- I am tentatively planning some scheduled downtime on Monday, March 26th through Wednesday the 28th (depending on how long the maintenance takes). I may leave the site running in read-only mode, but that is undecided at this point. Just letting you know. Ther...

Is it a Dutch or English book?
I can see so much things in it, fantastic :D
R. (Mar 26, 2007)
It's in English, Roy. But a Dutch publisher has expressed a clear interest. It also contains five drawings, which are the same in any language.
Roytje (Mar 26, 2007)
I'm curious! Please memo me when it's published :) Will the English book be available in The Netherlands?
R. (Mar 26, 2007)
NL will be the main secondary market because that's where I live and have my network. You'll be able to order the book online and it will be mailed to you. The whole marketing plan seems to be coming together now and the response from the bookshops has been excellent. It's as if I'm locked in the cloakroom, waiting for the big game to begin.

The perspective is great, and the color reminds me of dusk. I really don't think you need to sharpen anything, this way it looks like the cars moving and the scenery seems in motion.
Miss_DJ (Mar 17, 2007)
definitely caught my eye, too. Great idea. Perfect colors.

Looks like a dust storm in the desert, nice work.

One of my favorite short lived sci fi shows (Firefly) mixed with one of my favorite cartoons (at least the early years) The Simpsons characters playing the Firefly characters. If you want to know more about the show you should look it up here Firefly

It's not really finished but I needed the space, Hopefully I can get some later to finish.

he he he... Bart's Jane... he he he Love both shows!
Sweetcell (Mar 15, 2007)
Great to hear Sythe, how many Browncoats are on 2draw? They're coming out with a special edition dvd of the movie which I might or might not get. Now sure yet.

"Jayne, the man they call Jayne....."
SYTHE (Mar 18, 2007)
I couldn't believe they killed off Hoban "Wash" Washburne and Sheperd Derrial Book in the movie. Wash was one of my favorite characters. :(
Sweetcell (Mar 18, 2007)
That is why I'm not as much of a fan of the movie and wouldn't care so much if there's a second one Sythe, even if Alan did mention to Joss his character should be killed. *sigh* I was enjoying it (for the most part, waited a hell of a long time for a continuation, even if things weren't exactly contiguous with the show) then suddenly "I'm a leaf on the *ACK*" I was shocked and through the rest of the movie I just sat there stunned saying over and over "They killed Wash, they killed Wash." I didn't even remember most of the end. Sorry to go on but I've been pissed since the movie. I mean if he had to kill someone off why couldn't it be Simon? I wouldn't care if it was Simon. (*BIG SIGH*)

There is a great interplay of textures here. I like this much!
Punky (Mar 16, 2007)
This is so amazing. I would hang it on my wall, if it wasn't for the fact that it would scare me at night.

He looks like he has a really horrendous migraine. D:

I'll straighten out and smooth the lines later, but I wanted to get the general idea out of my head before I forgot.
This drawing was influenced by this drawing:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ae/The_Little_Prince.jpg
Which is from the "fairy tale" The Little Prince. If you haven't read it it's a good philosophical read, for any age.

This is the same pose/style modified to make it be General Gustav. He is a sad, whacked-out person. I guess this is him standing on what looks like an abandoned bridge, looking down thoughtfully. Of course no one is looking at him; if they were he'd look a lot tougher just because he knew he'd have an audience.
