Actually they are related, but the anime isn't exactly an adaptation. sourceAnd I don't think you should just forget the anime either. Ebert called it one of the best animated films he'd ever seen. Getting a 91% at rottentomatoes is no small feat, imo.

I may or may not change this. I'll also try to get a picture of myself. This doesn't especially look like me, but I worked really hard on it. I hate drawing noses and lips. Dx I was looking into a mirror for reference incase you hadn't picked up on that.I have no more space! Dx Getting better...
This really didn't take 6 hours probably only about 5.

I will never be able to be truly smarmy, because I cannot raise one eyebrow without the assistance of a finger.Unfortunately, it's late and there were previous issues where the image erased itself entirely and I don't have my tablet, and so I do not have the energy to do anything more. There was a scary moment in the drawing of this when I went "oh my god I'm Jeff Goldblum". I'm getting there.

Looking good so far, i used to have to use a finger to get one eyebrow up but i think ive mastered it now but only with the left eyebrow lol

I think you're a pretty girl with a lot of obvious talent.(glasses are so hard to do... it shows so much more effort that you included them in this, when you didn't have to, and you did a wonderful job on them)
