Tryin' out new lineart. Not to mention character developing my ancient Ice Dragon Character, Liaos at the same time.
Shading is alright, I guess, and lineart could be better... The anatomy may look a bit off with his right (Our right I mean) arm. But that's only because he has turned his torso enough to reveal all of the arm anyhow.
Please enjoy it, I guess. ^_^

Well, I haven't drawn a dragon in ages, so it is kinda awry...
Oh well, I'll have plenty of time to practice over... Dum dum duuum... EASTER BREAK! ^____^
And I must say, one of my quirks is not liking when people say something like "The anatomy/proportions are off, and don't explain HOW. It's ANNOYING. Makes me lose sleep! @__@

I get bored so easily, then I cut myself and the pain helps me concentrate, after doing this alot i pass out from blood loss and when I come too I submit my shitty unfished image. My secrets out. Im a sadomasacist with A.D.D. make fun of me if you want, but what will that make you?

haha, I know where you're coming from. This looks like an on-paper drawing. I am constantly pursuing the elusive on-paper drawing. Do you use oekaki or paint? Varshavianka told me it's the opacity, is that what you use?
darkk_angel (edited Apr 18, 2003)
wow... prettyhorse, this aint shitty. i couldnt do this for the world.
sk8er_sketcher (edited Jun 3, 2003)
i agree with marcello, UNFINISHED!

The curtains are drawn, the stage is set, now come see the amazing dead babies put on their production of Death of a Salesman!
Each weak we put one of these plays on using the dead babies we find in the trashcan at the hospital... They love starring in our plays, and you'll enjoy watching them!

Oh, and I added a post that describes the texturing technique.

this is pretty....yes, I love the texture....looks like you drew it on rocks. :3
Sererena (edited May 26, 2003)
Ok, here's how I did the texture:
1. get a 1px solid brush, full opacity and full flow, and turn the spacing to max.
2. Select an off-white color
3. Make a new layer additive layer at about 40% and put it on top of your drawing.
4. Zoom waaaaaay out, and just make a bunch of horizontal lines, moving back and forth, down the page.
5. Repeat this with vertical and diagonal lines until you are satisfied with the texture.
6. Clone the layer, and make this new layer Multiply. Put it BELOW the additive layer.
7. Now zoom waaay in, and use the move-layer tool to move the layer up one pixel and right one pixel.
8. Play with the opacity of each layer until you are satisfied. You may have to darken the multiply layer a bit. Do this b grabbing a big burn brush and, using even strokes, softly darken the texture on this layer.
coffeejelly (edited May 28, 2003)
X'D the instructions look so complicated, but i really like how the texture turned out!!
maybe i'll try the texture feature marcello was talking about :')
