Heh, it is pretty giggly. The story is too. See, I was talking with a chum on the phone and I was whining about an artist's block. So my friend goes, well just clear your mind and draw the first thing you think about.

I thought about a pirate eating a telephone. There's an insight into my insane imagination for you. o__o;;

So that's what I tried to draw. Unfortunetely I made the head enormous and his meal didn't fit. ;-;

I just wanted someone with their own distinct style and who is really good. You're not bad, but I wanted better. You said it was my call and I dont know how else I could've told you.

its all about layers, and the light and dark, and the movement of your strokes and the direction. like with ink or a pencil.

Looks a hell of a lot like the gorillaz style
They're not all going to look exactly the same
each one is going to have a bit of that persons own style to it
Besides, not all the characters of the original gorillaz look the same.
Murdoc looks completely different, but he's got a similar style
...so basically stfu!

I agree on the skin tones, especially the face and shoulder! And I like how the way his belly comes forward gives a lot of movement to his position...

I'm not sure you even need a bg kejo. The little finger looks a little small in relation to the rest . The look in the eyes is great.
