Yes, yes, I agree with Maiko, speak English! This is an English site after all, and there are alot of people here who can't read Japanese and would like to be able to read the comments posted.Anywhos, adorable picture Mai, I absolutely love the way you draw, shade, and highlight hair...I'm so jealous >_>;;

I drew a really good sketch that looked exactly like me but i accidentally ruined it.... and this is how i feel.sexy.
HunterKiller_ (Jan 28, 2006)
Glad you made something out of it. Me enjoy it much.
davincipoppalag (Jan 28, 2006)
You shouldn't draw so close to the heat, the pictures often melt. This ended up very creepy looking, though, and that's a good thing. |

This is one of the more colorful things I've done.. It ended up looking kind of creepy. But colorful, no less. And I still need to work on shading.

i was looking through your early works yesterday - like the ones which you put black squares over. you did a death horse pic in one of those. i dig your style dudebro
Caddris (Jan 28, 2006)
I know this is over a month late, but this is awesome. I think this is a better representation of Perry's broken, tormented mind than the rider in the movie, and I thought the movie was eerie enough. Definitly one of my favorites on 2draw. |

Yay for left-handed fencers! I'm surprised I haven't done a fencing picture sooner. I love the sport. Anyway, this was referenced from a picture I drew in my sketchbook which was referenced from a photograph. I'm having major artist's block at the moment and just need something to get my creative energies back up. I am the master of mediocrity.
This would be a helluva lot easier with a tablet.
Wow. Looking at the screen for so long has given me a wicked headache. I'm gonna go take a Goody's and lie down for a bit.

This is terrific. You can feel the motion of the thrust! |

Everybody's favorite bush plane
Belldandy (Jan 26, 2006)
That's cool, really nice plane
nobody (Jan 26, 2006)
nice work overall. something about the perspective though makes it seem like it's leaning too far to the paddle (whatever you callit?) on our right. also, you may wish to use less grey in your shadows, as grey is a neutral color and may flatten it. try deep blues for the water, especially.
davincipoppalag (Jan 26, 2006)
Yea it sucks.. I got tired of working on it and posted it this way.

This was one of those times when you are on the fence about whether or not you really feel like drawing, then you do.
marcello (Jan 27, 2006)
he was probably right. this picture is monochrome, after all, so it's not a good example. but I think it's safe to say that once someone is good, 'rules' aren't as important.
Sweetcell (Jan 27, 2006)
It's so simple, so loose, yet there's the true touch of realism, as much like impressionism. I'm getting to be a fan.

Thanks. I have my pressure sensitivity set to one notch below the highest pressure setting, but I guess that's just a personal preference, maybe I'm a little heavy handed and just need it that way. |
