who deleted all the praiseful comments from this?

the forms of his torso and jacket are interesting.
It looks as though a phosphorescent powder was blown on parts of this picture.

the number 4 stands for angels...444...angels, angels, angels...so that must be where this bus is headed..

but I digress..

nice draw altogether!
solo_mob (Sep 9, 2007)
i like the background you've created. It's like you redesigned that spiral blur from the reference photo.

Arique (Sep 2, 2007)
Your reference picture is really small! You did a great job with the detail and I like the guy in the window!
Pantera (Sep 2, 2007)
I want to get on this bus and go away dont really care where. Great detail :)
Belldandy (edited Sep 2, 2007)
The bus is heading into Sydney springtime :D
I actually had another reference pic of the front of the bus from a photo I took at the Museum, but I haven't uploaded it so can't give a link.
Thanks

redpanda (Aug 31, 2007)
I've thought about drawing like this for a while. Atmosphere is important for many things, including books and music too. I think her nose and mouth are really cute, and since I wasn't looking at anything while drawing I could make them how I liked. Drawing hands is scary though.

THis is soft and beautiful
Punky (Sep 1, 2007)
You're one of my new favorite artists here, I love how soft and dreamlike this is.
Roytje (Sep 1, 2007)
You're totally right about the atmosphere :) This has a Redpanda style.

-practicing mostly anatomy here, like the angle of the face (crits welcome)

-mods feel free to move this to the appropriate board if you dont think this is advanced quality. this will be my first image in this board, so im not too confident :/
yeah, i basically shose this board so i could have a wider canvas for the wings, and even then they didnt fit quite how i would have liked to. but that would have been ridiculously wide, so i made due with what i had. :)

yes, I agree. She looks heavenly.
taori (Jun 9, 2007)
this is really striking. i love the way you did the wings because when you look at them closely it's pretty simplistic (as far as i can tell) but the effect is gorgeous. colors are great too, especially the light on her hair.
Axil62 (Aug 28, 2007)

pandabarrie (Aug 29, 2007)
well axil thanks for pointing that out after i mentioned in my description already (if you read it that is.) that i knew it wasnt 'advanced quality.'
i needed to canvas space.

so if you would like to take care of making sure it gets moved to the appropriate board then you go do that if it'll make you happy..

clover_pocky (Aug 20, 2007)
I've always had an obsession with birds, with their ability to fly, with their hollow bones and above all, their capacity for freedom. When I was a little girl, I collected feathers in hopes that I could charm them and turn into a bird of my choice. I have the memory of flight, and I do not know where it comes from. I, earthbound creature, must be content to watch as these feathered things - all air and hollow light - soar above me on the thermals above highway twenty-one out of Jacksonville. I would think they taunt me, but birds are not cruel, they are not human, and have no capacity for such things...

(I wish I could fly.)

Finished now.

I don't really have anything else to add. Sorry about the short timer?

Davi - thanks. I'm trying for more of my pencil work up here, it's hard to translate sometimes.

Mooki - It's done now (obviously, lol), but thanks. :)

Cameo - I'm not a fan of colour, I don't see it well and I don't really like working with it - I have to learn someday, I guess.

UnWanted - I suppose? I'd wanted to do more with it, but meh, you know, I got distracted and then she flew away or somesuch nonsense.

Axil - Not your pants.
