Is it conceited to keep going back to look at your own work? I always wonder if other people do it.
padmooks (Jul 1, 2010)
I do it. its okay.
Flubbles (Jul 1, 2010)
I think were all a bunch of show offs.
padmooks (Jul 1, 2010)

Wow, This is so amazing!

I was thinking earlier how unpopular the name adolf was these days, and how it's a shame the name has gone out of fashion.
Teapot (Nov 28, 2010)
I never really looked at this before. My gosh it's beautiful, like a masterful pencil drawing...gorgeous fine texturing. I like how you can see the madness in those eyes...but I wish he didn't have that little smirky smile...makes me want to hurl. Talk about living forever in infamy. Who'd name their kid Adolph now other than a neo-nazi? Have you seen the movie "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas"?

I can't believe this isn't in the Showcase. Haven't you been sending in your protection money to the webmaster? Hmmmm?
Flubbles (edited Nov 28, 2010)
I did try quite hard on this, I even measured the proportions with the tip of my little finger. I dont care as much anymore, the results are more luck rather than judgment. Although I did try to get the proportions of the chair right because it would look silly if I got them drastically wrong. As far as the showcase is concerned, I think there have been bigger misjustices in the world.

you need a bigger room, or a smaller bed.
staci (Oct 21, 2009)
lol the room is bigger than that looks..my bed is queen and it only comes to the edge of the closet so i guess its wider? and theres about 2 feet of space between my bed and my desk.
enjoydotcom (Oct 22, 2009)
Have you thought of doing this in photoshop or something else, so you can pivot and move the furniture without getting tired?

staci (Oct 22, 2009)
yeah i was just fiddling, thats why i drew it here...ill have to scale it better.

That must have been impressive to see, and you depicted it well
staci (Oct 21, 2009)
this makes me smile really big because i know that feeling of being COMPELLED by something to draw it.
its exciting and sometimes frustrating when you cant convey how it made you feel and/or how interesting it was..but i'd say you nailed it right here. :)
theusualsteve (Oct 22, 2009)
Thank you. I actually did take some cell phone snap shots of it (on airplane mode, of course) but I did add a little more naturalism to it then what the 2mpx camera can capture...
staci (Oct 22, 2009)

Thought I commented on this. Oh well. It takes cajones to draw pictures of yourself wearing only your Fruit of the Loom™ tighty whities for the world to see.

He's inspired me for a long time, and I needed to be inspired, so I drew him. I hope you enjoy it, no matter where you fall on the political spectrum in life.

Regarding the post by axil quoting Dr. David Kaiser...Its hard to take serious an article that was not written by the man it was attributed to http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/proportions.asp

Brass casting
Axil62 (edited Oct 14, 2009)
Here's a quick ball point pen sketch of an idea I have. I'm going to build a backyard foundry and cast brass pieces for my bike. This is a birds eye view of the piece I want to try. It's a rear fender tip with fender strut mounts on each side. I don't think I'll have to worry too much about the integrity of the brass being used to support the rear fender because it's bobbed and short, not too heavy and the bike is a solo seat bike so no one will be sitting on it. Only thing is, do you guys think...
