I never tried those...I smoke cigarettes...what does it cost for a pack of kiddies..?
ambermac (Jul 5, 2005)
excellent draw v'vamp. davin p, ore ida's prepackaged fresh frozen kind are fine, but i prefer the organic free range. you can purchase them in bulk at costco for a little less than a pack of lil' smokies.

no...i was serious xD how do you make such smooth lines? ^^UUU
mazi (Jul 4, 2005)
awesome as per usual ms. connie lady.

kawaii_otaku, lots and lots of practice/effort. id say the pen tool in shi-painter. lots of zoom. im not sure about connie, but i use pressure sensitivity on my tablet (top bar full, bottom bar almost full. not sure what they do, really, but that works for me) on a small size and a high opacity. and you dont need to have a tablet to do smooth lines, hakkai is a rabid mouse user and shes always got smooth as fork lines.
concannon (Jul 4, 2005)
Haha. XD <3 for mazi.

In my case, actually, I use the airbrush tool. I definitely used to be one of the many slaves of the pen tool, but I watched one too many of furyofroy's animations, and started to use the airbrush tool instead. I set in on a high opacity and use a slightly larger brush than I actually want the lines to be, and once I've got nice solid thick lines, I go back in with the smooth eraser and thin down all the lines. I don't even bother with the pressure sensitivity on my tablet, usually.
mazi (Jul 4, 2005)
reeeeally? i always thought he used a giant pen tool. :O *gasp* the secret is out.

B-U-T-Full! <3 The coloring, the lighting and shading, the line art. Everything is just superb.

You know.. If her eyes weren't "kind" looking, I'd be afraid of that smile. >_>;;

So I look at the clock, think "okay, I've got ten minutes 'til I get booted offline", and promptly begin a drawing. I'M A CLEVER ONE.

Okay, it's mostly that I haven't drawn anything in a really long time and I was feeling antsy. This is a little tidbit from an idea I want as a full scale painting (watercolor, most likely); a forest of cranes, filled with bird nests, etc, all kind of dull and drab, with a really washed out sky. Dunno where it came from...probably something about deforestation, or something.

...er. And now I away to finish reading Frankenstein.

nifty, I was actually thinking about drawing some construction machines recently. something about the pathos of overworked and rusty machines interests me. the contrast of placing a birthing place in the midst of gloomy, decaying structures is pretty cool.
davincipoppalag (Jun 8, 2005)
I used to see nests in the bell buoys ..this looks like that to me..
ironoxide_red (Jun 15, 2005)
Oh, I love cranes, and watercolor. I'd like to see some "dull and drab"!

Shanghai (Feb 25, 2005)
I luff the glasses o_o!

Though the more I look at it the more it seems like the face is a bit tilted. Since the head is tilted to the left of the image you also tilted the facial features, but not as much I think. Still looks very nice though.
The_Chosen (Feb 27, 2005)
verry smooth line art

I like your sketchy style on this so far.. wonderful
TheCrimsonKing (Mar 4, 2005)
Yeah, both faces came out great. Well done VV, well done. ^_^

I like that you did it in that sketchy style and the girl looks just right, to me.

Because one of the sexiest things in the world is a woman who crossdresses. (Doodle. And now, to bed! Or, my room at least.)

But , Connie,, she wouldn't wear a tie by choice!! Ties!! arrrrgghh.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Mar 1, 2005)
The strange thing about this is... that after thinking on it for a few minutes... I have to completely agree. However, I don't know I would term a woman in masculine clothing as cross-dressing, since we have been able to get away with it quite effectively forEVER now. Most likely it's because we do appeal to everyone in masculine clothing... no matter what gender or what "direction" you take sexually... we can all view an attractive woman in a man's shirt.... tie or not, jacket, dress slacks, (high heeled pumps make it sexier no matter what, but not mandatory, of course :)and think... ooooh now that is SEXY. All of that aside, this is a very down to earth drawing and I like it alot.
mazi (Mar 1, 2005)
mmm crossdressing. not really hardcore but i agree on the foxyness. (theres a drag king community on livejournal ive been lurking on. hence the not hardcore comment)

saaaay you dont plan to do the other one any time soon? ^^;; boys in skirts! w007.
concannon (Mar 1, 2005)
If I have time I'll do another one. :P I was rushed with this one, as it was. I started drawing at 9:30, and I had to get off the computer at ten, so. >__> Tomorrow, maybe, I'll draw your girly boy for you.

Because I realized earlier, to my reasonable dismay, that I hadn't drawn anything of the furry persuasion in quite a while. So...ta-daa.

Awww, so pretty. I <3 the colored lineart, I need to try that sometime. The armband-type thing is also very spiffy.
Shanghai (Feb 25, 2005)
It's been a long time since I've drawn my furry red panda <_<

I like the arc of the head going from the nose back to the tip of the ear in a smooth motion.
